I have one of Andy's motors in my street rod. And I have seen Andy and his motors in action for a long time. Don't be hating the guy you could give him a Volkswagen rabbit and he will make it fast! He is a smart talented guy who is always willing to help you make your own car faster. Look back to the mid 90's when that camaro was the fastest street legal small block in the country. andy jensen is my uncle amd i can attest that none of the outlaws can hold a candle to what he runs, the camaro puts 2200hp on the pavement on a bad day. holds multiple adrl records and andy works full time+ in an engine shop he built from ground up before he was 25. the outlaws may be fast, but andy is on par with the guys who race for a living
steve davenport Andy is a great guy. Built my engine for my suburban. Man is nothing but class and a total gentleman that only one word is needed to describe him--- honorable.
I mean ya its a street car vs a promod i mean put that pro mod up agianst a 10,000hp top fuel dragster and see what happens i mean its kinda same scenario. Think dave just did this for fun.
Dave running a 481x plr 572 cubic inch motor with twin turdballs. Andy jensen running an all fiberglass body with a single turbo small block, sounds even but andy builds his engines.
Still waiting for the 405 boys to call out Fletcher Cox/ Shawn Ayers Fox Body. That car has been 3.86 @ 208 mph on Radials...Stock Suspension and STREET DRIVEABLE with a very small Big Block and Twin Turbos. That's a STREET CAR that outruns ProMods.

This would be more fair and real if the race was between Andy Jensen's 69 Camaro Pro Mod vs. Big Chief Justin's Crowmod. They're both in the Pro Modified class.
Yep! Which probably explains why we haven’t seen Big Chief Justin race any real Pro Mod Cars since he had the Crowmod car. If he reads this maybe he might feel challenged and do it.
I’m just wondering what does the Crowmod do in ¼ mile anyways? Does anyone know other than Big Chief? If it can do 6 seconds or under then it might qualify for Pro Mod. If not, then it would be nice to see him race this 69 Camaro Pro Mod in this video, since Daddy Dave did!
I say its highest time "Crowmod" would be in the mid 6's and average 7's in 1/4 mile. But I'm sure WE ALL would like to actually witness it on video as evidence. So maybe he could start by racing this car in this video.
Hold up read about Andy Jensen Chevy Small Block 427 Single Turbo, Big Chief has a 482 Cubic inch Pontiac small block, Tell me who is smaller I no the other Promod guys got all kinda big block 632 and bigger engines with Massive Blowers some nitrous
A pro mod is really a funny car. It has more up to date technology i.e. turbos, Pro-chargers, billet blocks and data acquisition etc. They go even faster...and without the use of Nitro! To me, NHRA Funny Cars and Top Fuel cars are ancient history and should go the way of the dinosaur. Top Fuel engines are completely torn apart between runs whereas, a Pro-Mod can make 20 passes without so much as checking the data acquisition for any engine anomalies.
Cars with a different focus. Daddy Dave more for short 1/8 mile situations with low traction. All the Pro Mods should do better on tracks especially 1/4 mile tracks where aerodynamics count
I dont know much about racing, just what ive seen live and on tv, but the blue car wind drag ratio is better streamed line than the gray car daddy dave, a wind tunnel will give the drag dynamics that are displaced will pushing through the air, in theory a car cruising on a highway at 50 mph may require only 10 horsepower to overcome air drag, but that same car at 100 mph requires 80 hp, long story short the gray could have more horse power to wheels but his drag to power ratio is higher than the blue car, as the gray car get closer to finish line more power is needed to compensate for air resistance, hence the blue car would not be subjected to the same dynamic laws due to its lower profile,he could travel at a higher speed and longer distance before he begins to experience his drag to power ratio loss,
daddy Daves car was making fast passes but nothing compared to a 3,000hp promod...pretty soon John force will bring his top fuel n beat chief on the streets hahahaha. rediculous. I bet promod Andy was so proud of himself.
Like everybody has said how do these guys feel good about beating Dave with a promod and yes there are alot of advantages a promod has over a car like Dave weight moter displacement and etc .
Jensen has a 67 box nova and beat Larry Larson equally my friend it's just the fact Jensen have been doing so for years just like all the greats before him warren Johnson don the snake don garlits Shirley muldownue bill grumpy Jenkins Sox and Martin Paul Newman Steve McQueen and last but not lease Richard Nascar Petty just to name a few
JEREMY- I would say dave is the best driver... #1 in two cars and remember he drove a turbo car in the race and they said he has NEVER driven a turbo car...and yet he drove it to a win...

Pro Mod Cars are designed and built to race on the Race Tracks and to race other Pro Mod Cars. Pro Street Cars like, "Daddy Dave's" is made to race on the street and other street racers. They're two different classes racing in this.
Chiefs car is not a true Pro Mod. It has the body of a Pro Mod but lacks in other areas to to compete in that class. The body is too light to be a true Street Racer, considering Street Racers are mostly heavy steel. It's not really fair to other street racers. Because most true street racers carry heavy steel bodies.
+atrike1 how is chiefs race car not a true promod. its a promod chasis and that my friend is a fact bc the chasis is what gets inspected and certified by nhra before it can be put on any track the shell is for looks but the set up and chasis determines if the car is a prostreet, promod and so on
If Chief’s car “Crowmod” qualifies to be true a Pro Modified Car then, “WHY IS HE RACING STEEL BODY STREET CARS AND NOT PRO MODIFIED CARS? Right now I just want to see him and his Crowmod go up against this 69 ProMod looking Camaro in this video. These two cars are in a similar class.
Well chief wants to portray a promod for a street car never it will be a street car that car is built for tracks and tracks only if chief races that car on a really bumpy street it could mean crowmod 3.0
I like Daddy Dave. But he built the wrong car. Wheelbase is just to short IMO to hook up like Kye or even the old Sinoma. With all the pro mods now he will not keep up I fear.
Daddy Dave is now an "also ran" It is sad that the evolution of this form of racing has got to this point. Daddy Dave's Car is only a few months old and it is now obsolete. V.
It's obsolete because the sport that he chooses to compete in is advancing faster than he and many others anticipated. Kye Kelly was the only "Pro Mod Style" car that raced cositantly. So, If you wan't to be the "Top Dog" you will need to build a Pro Mod style car. Shawn (Murder Nova ) is having a Pro Mod built at this moment. I'm curious to see who will follow. I'm not trying to bad talk him, It's just my observation. V.
Andy builds his own engines...how many of those "street outlaws" can say the same...not many if any at all...esp Dave when he goes to Texas to have one built for him
I said the same thing the only way Big Chief will impress me is if he could beat Jensen I seen Chief run lots no preps both have small blocks one has extra turbo being chief and bigger cubic inch engine, I would put money on Jensen all the way.

They both race at the track all the time I didn't see neither car spin and it was no prep and I've been to that track and no guys that raced there and won't anymore it's so bumpy. Dave just got killed 3 times by just what chief is driving promod.
Daves car is a terry Murphy built 2500lb race ready car , and that's with him in it , it doesn't get any closer to promods than that , and Daves car has an all aluminum big block , and the car is covered with carbon fiber , technically it's not a pro mod but it will run with the best of them . it just wasn't his day . watch american outlaw no prep , Dave was maybe a half a car slower than the fastest pro mods their , pry a fender . that's fast . I would bet the farm that golliath on a fully prepped track running 100% would easily run under 4sec in the 1/8th mile, and pry would run mid 6's in the 1/4mile if not faster . Dave has basically done R and D on street cars , street race cars and track cars most of his life , and knows what works and what doesn't
+Christopher Morales , I think Daves Nova makes like 1300+hp just on motor , with 3 kits it's pry over 2000hp, and it's 2500 lbs race ready , he beat Larson of drag week , larsons s10 ran 605 at 250+ mph in the quarter, shit , I saw a video of doc in the street beast running 4.3 in the 1/8th and that was before all the surgery that car underwent , and now it's like 1000 pounds lighter , shit , murder Nova ran 4.2 in the 1/8th mile on radials, that car is 3600lbs , Daves is 2500lbs , it would easily run low 4's in the 1/8th mile

Would you enjoy constantly losing? Street racing is evolving and the smartest thing to do is get a lightweight aerodynamic car to be competitive. Mad respect for people who don't go promods but I want to watch the fastest cars possible in street racing. In my opinion any car that gets raced on an unprepped street is street racing. Just my opinion tho...
Brian Rutherfield its not racing on the street thats the big thing that carries respect in the racing world and so it doesnt matter about anything that gets raced on unprepped is street racing, its the car itself on the street. turning an everyday street legal car into a beast, a very, very fast car (anyone can make a specifically made race car lol) while still driving it and racing it on the streets. Extra kudos if its both your race car and still your every day A to B car like shauns is. Now some people dont care about that anymore they just wanna get a race car and race it on the street because its the easiest and best way to win. and that, is the part that makes me lol when it comes to big chief.

AJ is a local guy who is known for building fast Bowties. My Bud had him build a Ford, it was less than impressive. My comment about him racing the Outlaws. I do not watch the show. It is a joke of course. These street racers have serious dollars in those cars. When they meet a real racer like AJ, it's game over, no matter how much money you put in the car. lol
If you are talking about street vs track racing the main difference is grip. ProMod vs "street car" The promod is heavily modified, both the frame and the body, where the "street car" has stock roof, door and general body lines with the major modifications staying within the drivetrain
Difference between a full on aluminum motor turbo pro mod with electric shift and a grudge/no prep car with nitrous and driver shifting. Dave has to turn on each kit on that iron big block on manually and shift his still 50% steel car. Street would be really different. That pro mod would have to turn it WAAAAAY down to get traction.
Dave's got the best efi on the market (fuel tech ft500),a davis profiler (self learning traction controller),th400 air shifted tranny and you're saying his slowass nova isn't computer assisted? Andy's promod's got a 5 speed liberty tranny with a clutch so he has to tune that too,no efi or pc can tune your clutch for you boy,best a pc can do is show you the weather,elevation and humidity.
I don't know what made him think he was gonna beat a Pro Mod at the track. He had a better chance on the Street. Smh. Some ppl do anything for attention.
Just came to watch this footage to confirm Andy's numbers. I'd just like to point out to the Street Outlaw fans here that weren't there that day, that Daddy Dave dude was the arrogant bragging prick. He talked a lot of crap when he should have known he couldn't beat Andy, and left in pretty short order when he did inevitably lose. This was by far the WORST special event Beaver Springs ever put on, I much prefer watching our local boys run their cars, and the Jet Trucks that come every year.
Opposite of Andy... who is a CLASS act. And Does NOT talk shit about anyone. Thanks for adding that viewpoint to the convo. Not to mention people calling Dave's car a Street car. Will it run on pump gas. It's a slow ProMod.
If you can't drive it on the street it's not a street race car, track cars or for the track and should never be on the street! and pro mods are the biggies motor you can build and no power adders ie: nitrous, turbo, super charges.
to me , I take pride in driving my car on the street and racing or driving to the track and racing then driving home , I don't own a trailer . and this does not mean that I'm gonna just be out stop light racing in public like a stupid import tool endangering lives as a result of it.
