I love grandpa dreadnought! The excitement in his voice in the campaign when he learns they're fighting Thousand Sons and asks "VILE SONS OF MAGNUS. IS HE HERE?!?"

i love how weighty the space marines look, like they still have the nimbleness and speed youd expect, but they also look exactly like they weigh more than a family car its great

Nothing like a long day being capped off by some good ol' Tom & Ben Warhammering it up. Still always a perfect duo.

The hades breaching drill still sees occasional use on the tabletop with Imperial Guard armies since it effectively gives any infantry unit in reserve deepstrike, so you can just dump down a block of Bullgryn, Kasrkin or Scions from reserve. However it being a Forgeworld model means it's probably not going to survive the new codex and thus will be removed due to the great non-titanic Forgeworld models in 40k Purge.

You know the way old people say stuff that's really racist or xenophobic because they're old and it was ok to say those things when they were growing up and you'll be sat round at the table and your Nan says something and it's like "Oh god Nan, it's 2024, you can't say stuff like that anymore!" and it's super embarrasing. I always like to think Dreadnoughts are a bit like that except with the space marines already being quite xenophobic they're kind of the opposite at the same time. Like the dreadnought just says "I don't see what all the fuss is about I don't mind these world eater blokes" and the space marines are like "OMG dreadnought it's 41,376, you can't say stuff like that anymore!"

Less smooth? than I expected...and I kind of love it? For some reason it puts me in the mind of a pirate with a peg-leg; except Grandbrother Coffinwalker hasn't lost one leg, but his entire body!

I'm so glad this game doesn't have you hiding behind chest-high walls all the time. There was a trend of that sort of game a while back, where you'd enter an area, see a dozen chest-high walls and know exactly what the next 10 minutes of gameplay would be like.

Funny ya shou mention the whole sandman gettin washed away an turnin into mudboy. There was an entire thing where sandman an hydroman got fused together into a mudmonster until they eventually were able to seperate themselves.

I've been using the Alpha legion logo for my Howling Griffon as a sniper cause there's a bug that strips your custom paint off and turns you back to an Ultramarine.
