1st episode of hotd came out recently and I ended up really enjoying it (even if I'm forever bitter over Daenerys...) it really sucks that HBO is releasing this a week at a time kjhjghg I'm impatient and I NEED to know how things go!
I completely fell in love with Daemon and Rhaenyra's dynamic. thank you Matt and Milly lol The chemistry is so there omg I can't wait to see more of them. As soon as I watched the pilot I had this idea of what if Daemon and Rhaenyra were the ones fighting over the throne, but also make it romantic lovers to enemies haha
Story summary: Rhaenyra doesn't think she has a chance to be the heir, so she never really lets herself think about the possibility even though she is ambitious and hungry for the iron throne. As two outcasts, she bonds with Daemon and they begin a secret relationship. Things go south when Viserys I does name Rhaenyra as his heir after her mother's death because until that point Daemon was the next in line officially. Both struggle to choose love or power, but ultimately the iron throne is too good to pass up (especially since neither of them wants to be a consort ahem power hungry much? kfdhgk) While the king is still alive Daemon stays in line, and continues the relationship with Rhaenyra even though both of them know how complicated it's gonna become once the king passes. After Viserys' death war breaks out between each side, aka Dance of the Dragons. While they still love each other both are fighting to be the ruler of Westeros, ultimately Rhaenyra wins and banishes Daemon from Westeros.
