If anyone wondering who is this guy, he is Daesung a member of South Korean group called Bigbang and here he was in his fan meeting, teasing playing with his fans, he has an amazing voice and great personality
True. This is why I love BIGBANG. Their fans are treated like family and friends, more than just people who merely stan and support them. They are so grateful for them because despite everything they have been through those who stayed are so precious, and they know it. It’s not intimidating to stan BIGBANG because you know they’ll make you feel like buddies who, even if you don’t see each other often, when you do, it’s as if nothing has changed with your bond and relationship. 💕
@@jamilavillanueva7356 according to former yg dancer in an interview with dkdktv she stated that daesung has the most pleasing personality out of bb members though they are all nice but daesung is the kindest. And they are all kind but can be savage sometimes
I remember when youngbae announce his relationship with hyorin. Instead of saying mean things to them, VIPs just send old meme photos of youngbae and was like, hi hyorin, this is who your dating.
This is actually a great lesson for those who are learning second language and someone tells them they suck at it. Just switch to your native language and tell them to address you in it as well.
Your english sucks. You forgot to capitalize, you incorrectly started a sentence with an adverb…twice and you are missing punctuation. My point is that just because you are fluent doesn’t make you proficient.
@@lyndislegion287 I think the chances are very low that they speak another language. Because people who speak multiple languages would never tell another person they suck like that because they know how much effort they put in to learn another language.
He had an opportunity to rise above it but came across as just as bad as the fan who insulted him. As a public figure, he could have used the moment to teach people about how to respond professionally.
@@mish375 welcome to the real world Mish he did what was called being human. He could've been way more aggressive if he wanted to. No one should feel obligated to be nice if someone is straight up being rude for no reason. Guy could've been kicked out of the show but no because the guy was nice enough to throw his insult back at him and still he got to see the concert even if it was in Korean
@@rileysmall4317 normally when you don’t understand someone on stage you ask people around you instead of shouting u didn’t understand :) people needs to have some manners
@@lilijean5321 it was on their Radio Star guesting. I just downloaded it online so i cannot really find the specific link to the video. But if you'll try to search for their radio star episodes (cos i know they showed up in 2 eps) you can surely find it online, not just in youtube (cos i cant find the cut for daesung) 😄😂
I am not really into korean-boyband thing, just a Japanese language learner. But this clip is somehow hillarious enough even for non-kpop fan. And man, he was skilled enough for doing that kind of joke in front of many audiences. And he could say "sitting on the 2nd row, those in group of four, wearing red" quickly and casually in Japanese means he's skilled enough in Japanese for sure, like above-average (N3). Oh yeah, i accidentally found it on recommendation. YT Algorithm might has struck here, anyhow.
Korean face almost less difficulties than us (Southeast Asians) when it comes to learning Japanese. Their grammar is similar. Their syntax is similar. It is just as difficult as Malay people trying to learn Minang.
Yeah YT algorithm definitely kicked this video back up into people's recommendeds. Same way I got here lol. Not a Kpop fan either, but this was absolutely great. 😂😂
Why would someone say that tho. Idols are under no obligation to learn another language. They try for us, and I dont care if they speak my language "badly". All that matters is there trying to connect to the fans and we appreciate the effort.
Some groups are taught to speak japanese like BTS, NCT, Bigbang and more, to prepare the idols for their japanese debut. But some of them aren't taught to speak japanese or any other language. And he was just messing around with the fan...
yup, he trains his fans. 😂😂 I saw a clip on FB where he's being savage and asked his fans "am I not allowed to marry??? you guys are all getting married right? But I'm not allowed to marry?!?!?!?" 😂😂😂
Just like how I'd do when a lady from China told me my Mandarin is bad when I was trying my best to help her at our clinic. I just spoke in English to her from then on, as English is the international language. Geram, nasib aku tak cakap Bahasa Malaysia.
Amboii. At least hargai la bila ada orang nak communicate guna bahasa yang dia senang faham. Sis, pasni kalau geram sangat guna je BM. Sekali dengan loghat. 😂
As someone who's been trying to learn Japanese for more than 6 years. Daesung Japanese is really great and 1000x better than mine. I appreciate his fluency in Japanese.
The thing is, he's actually pretty damn good. The fact that he can speak that fast, and even threw in some Oosaka dialect...plus the comedic timing 😳 damn
@@victorlarryesmenda2805 You should take into the context of this stage as well. He has known for being witty and savage, and his fans including me love him because of it. I think this is totally hilarious.
Many do not seem to understand that it is an inside joke and take it seriously and for whatever reason personally. The fact that he speaks Japanese badly refers to previous shows in which he mixed up words in a funny way etc. So there is a history that both fans and Daesung clearly know about. Here some background information to the video. The video was from a talk tour. In the same year Daesung aka D-Lite had given real solo concerts in domes (35-45 thousand spectators per day) and now wanted to perform in small halls with personal contact. That means half of the time singing, the other half playing games with his band and the audience and ( in a funny way ) answering questions. Ine of my favorite videos is when a fan asks if she can trade him for her husband for a day. Or the one in which he declares that he would very well get married whenever he wanted to. There's a reason why his normal concerts are sometimes 3.5 hours long. He's really good at leading the audience. He is known for having a warm sense of humor. react quickly and cleverly to situations. and never pretend to lie to his fans with the typical idol sayings, but rather to make real talk. A very good example of how his relationship with his fans is is the comment section under each video in the "D'splay channel". In korea, Kang Daesung is known more as an entertainer than as a solo singer. Which is misleading as he is an outstanding and versatile singer.
It's nice to see people not take his satire out of context and post mean comments. Most of the other idol groups would've most likely faced backlash for it from immature stans.
Bruh if it was like bts or other famous artist, the haters will be shade them and said that its not polite. But yeah bigbang is a legend, no one can beat! But maybe Super Junior do? Hahahah.. SJ and bigbang are both legend!
Lol, i read the most recent comments, why many uninterested persons coming here n insulted daesung....i know u were being recommended, but why u need to leave stupid comments if u don't know about him, judging him from only this clip....daesung is one of the best singer out there, he's all rounder entertainer, witty n hilarious, very talented artist in kpop, n also popular artis in Japan...that was his fan meeting, n his fans already knew about his real characters
YG Angel can be sassy and witty when provoke but don't overdo it cause then you got TOP and Taeyang to deal with... Senguri is also a black belt and GD has power over 100% of all Kpop fans and idols to attack
When you're an anime fan & Kpop fan at the same time so you can recognize the shifting of language right there 🤣🤣🤣 I miss them already 😭😭 Daesung is the cutest, bubliest, funniest & sassiest artist that I know 🤣🤣❤️❤️
I am still quite confused sometimes. Lol. Eventhough I am also a kpop/kdrama/kvariety show fan and a jrock and anime fan. I wil just know it based on the accent and some familliar words either in japanese or korean. But if it a song, a really have a hard time distinguishing both language
He actually kind of has a Korean accent when he speaks Japanese. It’s not that strong, and he actually is really fluent. But the way he pronounces some of the consonants is a bit harsh. It’s not as fluid as if it would be if it was Japanese. Although some dialects in Japan do sound bit more rough, his doesn’t sound Japanese.
It sounds like Korean to me, so I guess he would probably have an accent to Japanese people. It's impressive how he sounds just as comfortable in both languages though.
fans still do this on live streamings to tease the idol and get attention and sometimes the are just ignored or even blocked xD but Daesung also teased the fan back and gave her all his attention lmao. this fan meeting was more of a talk show.
Those fans is kinda rude in my opinion, you need to be glad that your idol take this well and joke about it. Be grateful he tries to learn about your language and culture. I didn't know this guy but I already like him lol
My first-language is English(American), but I'm familiar with several other languages. I was able to recognize when he spoke Japanese, & when he switched back & forth from Japanese to Korean. I could hear the accent of a second-language speaker, but his grasp of the Japanese language was still impressive. Like he said--Of course it wouldn't be perfect, because it's not his first-language. We should admire a person that learns something new, instead of discouraging them when they aren't able to do something perfectly. 💖
@@TyFhoonBoom Most ppl I've talked to, that learned second languages when they older(as opposed to when they were very young), say that their first language feels more natural to them. Even when learning it young, the brain tends to process a second language differently than their first, & takes a certain amount of translating from the first to the second internally. It's an admirable effort & skill, no matter how well it sounds compared to a native/first language speaker. 👍✌️😊
@@FenrirRobu It can be a lot of pressure, to translate internally, from a native to second, third, etc, language. Especially as an entertainer. He does a great job. ✌️😊👍
With that tone in Japanese, I can tell he wanted to curse. Instead, he kept his composure and vent his frustration gradually. I wish I have that kind of mindset. If I were him, Imma throw the mic to that person with 赤いシャツ。。。。
He's Daesung from South Korean boy band called BIGBANG. He was having a conversation with his fan who was unable to understand what he was trying to say so he had to repeat it and asked her why she couldn't understand it the first time.
Reason why their fans like them is they're savage like that. There's so many more savage interactions with VIPs and that's why we continue to support because they don't try to hide their "humanness"
I want Daesung on a variety show again. He was so freaking funny on family outing... all I want is a reunion. I miss dumb and dumber with Hyori, I miss small eyed bros, I miss the cast so much.
This is Daesung from the South Korean boy band BIGBANG. This is a fan meeting where he plays games and interacts with his fans. It's a very normal thing for him to tease his fans and vice versa. The fan saying 'your Japanese is bad' even though he speaks decent Japanese (he is has been learning the language since his trainee days that is 10+ years at the time this happened, he just have a Korean accent) is enough to understand what kind of relationship he has with his fans. They're chill, you all need to calm down too. None of the fans attacked that person because they were all having fun. THEY'RE BOTH JOKING 😃
Broooo! The change of language!!!!! How!? Like I know how someone can do that. I know English and Spanish, but he makes it look so simple, like a walk in the park. Wow! That is something to admire ☺️☺️
Es más fácil si sabes un idioma más bien que el otro (cuando uses tu idioma nativa conjugar una oración complex, pero el otro idioma for everything else). O cuando you make a habit of it when tú hablas a una otra persona. Tengo una amiga que habla inglés y español también, y nosotras code-switch todo el tiempo. Para nosotras, es natural. Truthfully, creí que todos los bilingües could code-switch this easily, in writing and in speaking. Hablo turco también, but I only code-switch to people who know it.
@@victorlarryesmenda2805 lol that’s because you don’t have the whole situation to understand this context, but it’s alright, it will take too long to understand why he reacted the way he did
He is Daesung of BIGBANG, this man has powerful, gorgeous vocals . He is also an actor, a variety show host, a comedian, a drummer, a songwriter, a musical actor.
@@honeyBee-cb8sh I feel like he was kinda mean and hella triggered like all the person said was they couldn't understand him, how can they help that, and he did ask
@victor, they didn't say they couldn't understand, they said he was BAD at it. Imagine working really hard to learn a language and speaking it to this level, only to get told you're just straight bad at it. That is not at all how you help someone get better and it was completely inappropriate for that fan to say it like that - let alone point it out in the middle of a concert. This was not the time and place for it. If it had been me getting told that, as sensitive as I am, I'd have broken down and never wanted to practice a language again for a long while - for fear of judgemental and non-helpful comments like that person's. People learning a language don't want to be judged like that. they want helpful critiques. Advice. Tips. Not to get told they're just bad when they know they've been working hard. Not to mention, most people learning a language are also perfectly aware they have an accent when speaking a lanaguage that isn't their native - and that can't always be helped, it's engrained in us - but it wasn't his accent that was pointed out, it was his entire speaking ability. ;/ Edits: Grammar
Love him, also he knows how to take that (when someone told me why did I couldn't speak better in English I felt so ashamed that I didn't want to talk to any native anymore)
Love him! I love how he clapped back at fans yelling about not dating too at this or another concert. Of all BB guys, I adore him the most - from his voice to the quirky handsomeness. [The bod's not so bad either 😂🎉]
lol he was VERY smart, because he did it in a way that it wasn't neither offensive nor aggressive, i don't know who this guy is, but one ting is sure, he got good brain , at least from what i can see in this video.
I really like how they can take jokes. Even the fandom. Not a fan of kpop but what I've seen most of the time, if this happen to other group.. the fans will outrageous
He is pure entertainment gold. Officially we only saw him once in the last 2 1/2 years and before that he was 1 1/2 years in the army, in which he had maybe 10 public appearances. He does not use social media services like twitter, IG, tiktok. Until suddenly last year the rumor went around that he had been running an anonymous youtube channel for a year. To this day, the operator claims to be just a fan and fans claim to believe him. 😆
OMG Can Daesung do a show like this outside Japan? Just like a TV Show where he gets to interact with his fans. Like it is really interesting if idols will have a show like this and they have those kind of apparatus for their responses.
This is exactly how I feel when Americans make fun of my foreign accent. I’m like: ok from now on I’m gonna speak in my native language only, deal with it 😂
