Each fabrication company is faced with this dilemma, Do we offer a wide variety of machines and hope they all work great with divided attention from the engineering team or we focus on a selected few models and we perfect them to a point where they are top of the line. At DENIS CIMAF we are all about giving the best solution to land clearing a right of way maintenance, so we focus on heavy-duty industrial hi-flow mulchers!
Have you all put one on a CAT 259D? Was thinking of buying that size carrier due to price and weight. Just worried that it will not have enough power to spool up fast enough with only 74hp and 30gpm on high flow.
Atlanta, GA area. Been talking with Yancey about it, a couple of people questioned my judgement on this pairing saying that 74hp isn't enough to mulch with.
Well, a bigger machine will be more effective. But if the CAT259 is all you have and can't go bigger, it think it's a pretty good combo. Give our Territory rep Scott Brown a call. Maybe he have a few pointers for you : Scott Brown scott@deniscimaf.com - Cell : 706-410-0969
I just bought a slightly used 150d and looking to set it up on a t650 . Any chance I could get a rep to stop and help me set up for the specs? Would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, if you have the Hi-flow option there should be no problems! the Lead tech here just told me they have already installed a DAF-150D on a TL10 before!
I didn’t see an extra hydraulic cooler on that machine so I was wondering how hot the New Holland’s run without an external cooler. I’ve been running a cat 299d with the cooler on the roof and a 180 head and I was told that it had to have an extra hydraulic cooler.
If I'm not mistaken, Todd use it on his private land and it might not be as much of an intensive use as someone doing a business out of it. However, I would be prudent and make sure you have the extra cooling and keep your machine and filters very clean!
