At a summer program the set was a tree and we had pockets where people pushed stems and then dafididils would pop out when he said these and these and the last dafididils they would dump the pedels
Saw my friends perform this at their high school, where the entire ensemble begins to each enter each with a daffodil when he begins to sing "these", and the ensemble sits down surrounding them, with petals drifting from the ceiling when she starts to sing with him. It was so beautiful.
when my school did this edward and Sandra were in a spotlight while the rest of the stage was in blackout. the ensemble slowly drifted on with huge yellow and orange balloons and put them on stage. when edward asks Sandra to marry him the stage lit up and the first time I saw it I almost cried it was so beautiful.
We had rivers come out from the river in front of the stage, put daffodils on the stage and had them fall from the ceiling when they kiss.. loved the scene I miss this show
My school did this musical and I was part of the tech crew. My job was the pushing up daffodils when he says these are for you. Seeing this made me cry
My school is doing Big Fish, and our opening night is less then 2 weeks! I couldn't audition because I had dislocated my knee, but I'm doing the pit orchestra! I can't wait!
Dude, when I did this show 2 years, we had a daffodil backdrop that we rolled up and secured every night. During the last little bit when sandra and edward would start singing together(after these and these...) we unfurled it and had so many daffodil petals fall from the catwalk and we had so many daffodils coming out of the pit.
It appears to be a fun musical and I hope ot make plans to attend as we have our Daffodil Show on the 28 and 29... have some out of towiners , maybe we will sneak away??
Okay. So if you have this, does anyone have a video of I Know What You Want / The Witch's scene? I'm in a production of this as The Witch, but I can't quite get my character voice down, and I really want to look to the Broadway version for inspiration, but the most I get is the few lines included in the soundtrack.
Same, I'm gonna be the witch also and I want to see how she did her scene cause I want some idea of how I should possibly sound. I hope you had a fun time she's a really fun character
