Dafran Show Why Supports Are Too Strong In Overwatch 2

I get Dafran's an FPS ACE, but the entire supp role is just absolutely busted man. Not to mention the biggest reason tanking is dog again is because of the supports.

As a support main, I think that part of the reason why support players think their role is underwhelming is because they’re so focused on trying to heal from sitting behind the tank, they forget they have an attack button. I can attest to how lethal support is if you have good mechanics, but still many people would rather heal bot lol

I know Dafran is one of the best support players in the world, but even in my gold/silver games, a competent Baptiste feels impossible to kill at times, and feels like they're hitting you in the face with a sack full of bricks.

Bap needs a buff badly, lower imort cooldown and let his healing nades self heal 💯💯💯, probably should get a visor when shooting through window too

I legitimately don't understand why people don't play Bap, he been badly powercrept ever since the regen burst buff that instantly fills back up all his hp. He is impossible to duel against even more then Illari, it just that players can't see underrated characters. Like it took way too long for players to finally realize Zarya is actually good before the buff when the the cooldown nerf got reverted along time ago, and she got was a slap on the wrist with a -.5 duration on bubbles.

Ash has a similar mobility option to baptiste, except it’s on a 12 second cd. Also, that ability slot is open for one of the highest burst heal resources in the game. Ridiculous

Are people just now realizing that Bap is one of the top 3 best duelists in the game and has insane healing potential with good mobility on no cooldown?

Bap has been the best supp in the game since they nerfed the first iteration of Kiriko IMO. No other character has simultaneous high damage and high healing output before Illari came out, but Illari can't left and right click at the same time like Bap.

Yeah support is crazy rn overall.. I had an illari game the other day (in qp) on the new map and had like 40 elims while my DPS couldn't kill anything.. the other team started hard focusing me and solo ulting me.. and still outhealed my other support. The 3 supports Dafran said + Ana and Zen have insane carry potential.

The contrast in how much more carefully we have to play tank for maybe 70% of the impact is an excellent contrast in this video from just playing Bap. Granted his supports in that tank game were pretty hit or miss.

Supports have the most overloaded kits in the game. Take bap. Dps level damage. Dps ultimate that lets you basically one shot people. Insane aoe healing. An immortality ability that if used correctly is even more annoying if placed around corners where it cant be shot. And on top of that. They give him the unlimited mobility with no cooldown to just jump out of the way of abilities or take highground whenever he wants. Kiriko is the same way. Insane damage. Get out of jail free teleport ability that can go through walls. Immortality abilities. And vertical mobility. I feel like what Blizzard needs to do is create a square and at each corner label things like "damage, survability, utility, and mobility" then when designing heroes. They need to pick only two of those things. Theyve created these do everything heroes in ow2. Bap was already overtuned. Then, with the addition of sojurn, ramattra, mauga (shortly before they nerfed him to the floor). The roster is just full of characters that have kits that just do EVERYTHING.

Don't even mind Bap that much, guess I cause he's not the most played. But as DPS player, Kiriko and Illari are legit more scary than any other DPS. I play a fair bit of Ashe and if I see a pencil thin japanese girl throwing knives at me from across the map I will lose that fight

Surprise no one mention how strong brig is now. Low skill hero, with great passive healing, good duel potential, and great at peeling. Not to mention she gate keeps a lot of high skill heroes. And she pairs well with the other three cancers: Kirko/Bap/Illari

Support players dont realise how strong they are because the new players and people who are bad at video games usually just resort to support roles in videogames. Whenever you actually come against supports that have good game sense AND actual dps skill they are completely unstoppable without random oneshots or very good teamwork.

Got to GM using nothing but Illari, Zen, and Bap. Just DPS'd my way there in 30 games (I'm a GM DPS that had NEVER played support before). Supp is stupid easy and op rn lol

honestly, s1&2 ow2, support was fine. The problem was 2 fold, the dps passive and support players not adapting to the new playstyle fast enough. So support kept getting buff as they slowly took 6 seasons to get use to the new playstyle, and have powercreep the other roles when dps movements passive was removed. I'm saying this as an Ana & Zen support main. Support players were so scared dueling when OW2 was first release, so they had to get use to it.

The fact illari can 2 tap most characters in the game with a hitscan and not even need 2 headshots to do it or wait for full charge on her second shot is fucking ridiculous, atleast kiriko has projectiles so its more difficult to aim but she doesnt deserve the damage she has with how many escapes she has, and bap is just soldier but better

I'm a support main in high masters/low GM and yes supports are way too strong. In my opinion it's mostly their offensive abilities. I like Illari, because she's high-skill (healing needs to become more skillful imo), Zen because he's very vulnerable, but Kiriko, Bap and Ana do way too much dmg. As Ana I consistently get more value if I focus on dmg and playmaking instead of healing. Playmaking potential as a support is important, but being able to 1v1 enemy dps from pretty much any position is not. Blizzard need to do something drastic, because it is getting out of hand. Edit: Zen is good right now. High-carry potential, but that's how it's supposed to be. He's extremely vulnerable still.

A good nerf for him would be decreasing his mag in my opinion. He just can shoot endlessly. Like 5 or 6 bursts and then reload he has 15 bursts as a support bro

The issue isn't exactly individual support power. It's the fact that healing output is so fucking insane in general. You finally get someone down to 3 hp and in seconds they're already max hp, and that applies to the supports themselves as well, so you can't just go after the support and expect the building to crumble, since the support has its own beam of support. I've said it for years but I wish healing was only on cooldowns like in paladins or something. As a casual player it's fine just blasting away mindlessly, but once you've actually honed your skill at the game you see get so irritated at how braindead it is, heal spam 24/7 to keep people alive instead of not trying to improve at the game and take damage to begin with.

I love bap, he's my main but they should replace lamp, nerf his aoe healing hard and make it more single target but keep his damage but reduce his mag capacity to maybe 30 instead of 45 and also do these types of changes to every dlc support as well. Illari pylon needs to not be a thing or make it have a limited duration

When you ask if you get two tapped by the Kiriko through the window. Not at all. You got hit about 4 or 5 times. Also what did you expect? You’re peeking a window from about 10 metres away. You might as well just jump off the map if you want to die so bad. And in answer to your second question, can Zarya die? The answer is no, she was in an immortality field and being double pocketed by her supports. She literally could not die at that point.

I think if the support role gets nerfed I’ll probably just stop playing. The game has become much more frustrating than fun and playing support without constantly dying to flankers when my team doesn’t back me up has kept me going.

Baps been broken for ages. Most players just suck and don’t know how to use him

its not only Dps, Tanking is not a Single bit fun anymore, theres only Risk and no reward, Try going for the Supports and they all just vanish, everyone of Them except Zen has an Free out of Jail Card every 5-10 Seconds, Jumping Zen is huge risk cuz until you are on him you literally lost 50% of your Health because of Discord and incoming dmg. Then he has his 2nd Support that gets him out. its Fucked up, Literally every Tank ult is Useless, cuz either they get grapped, Cleansed or gain Immortality.
