You know, if you think about it, the story arc of these videos is really horrifying. Some musicians are kidnapped and then brainwashed and mind controlled, all so this guy can make money off of them. It's scary and depressing, really.

One Of My Favorite Movies 10/10 Interstella 5555 all the way.

This is the best song from the album. It just sounds so *stressful.* Like you're at a party you don't want to be. Which, if you've seen Interstealla 5555, is pretty much the Crescendolls situation. They were kidnapped by Earl de Darkwood. They're currently brainwashed and forced to perform so that he can get the golden records. It's catchy as fuck, but sinister too. Especially that synth for the "chorus."

Coming back to tell you all this is from an actual anime movie, it's called interstella 5555. Name another band who did a whole ass anime with an actual plot for an album I'll wait

Honestly I love the whole album. It's my favorite of the Daft Punk albums (not including Homework because I've never sat down and listened to it. I know, I'm horrible.) I love every song on this album pretty much equally, they're all good in their own way. Each song is fresh and different; nothing feels repetitive.

The crescendolls logo looks like the coca cola logo.

I really dig the scenes with them setting up the studio equipment and starting to play as the music ramps up - the director and animators of that sequence clearly knew their stuff and loved music just as much as Daft Punk did. Just makes you wanna dance!

When me and my friends robbed a bank, we used this song as timer. It took us exactly 2:52 minutes. We were listening to this song while robbing the bank and it felt awesome. Putting the money in the bag while listening to the song was amazing too.

I know the entire songs on the whole album in correct order off by heart, i have listened to this album god knows how many times, its incredible :') Daft Punk are purely amazing

Wait, the scene where Earl walks into the plane has an animation error, Earl has bare hands in one frame before it is eventually corrected and he gets white gloves, I know, this is 2003, but come on, that was too obvious

I keep wanting to nitpick the animation cuz so many cartoons and music videos these days cut corners or don't look good, but... I've seen three of these now and I can't find any problems. This is legitimately excellent animation.

Years later and I still love this whole set of music. Each piece is amazing in its own way. But I couldn’t help but think; how aware were they of what was happening? In the previous piece, their memories were sort of glossed over and replaced with their real memories stored on disks and they had some kind of mind control attached to their glasses. In this piece, they look like they’re on automatic and Stella has that one moment after shaking the hand that seems to be confusion or something. And then in the piece after this, they are nonstop signing autographs but are clearly getting tired. Arpegius tries to leave but backs off when the old man comes into the room and Stella stares out the window. So they obviously feel pain and get tired but do they not have the free will to react normally? Asking the tough questions here. Feel free to comment and discuss politely.
