I have some noise cancelling headphones now so I will give that a try (*apart from that one time we hit turbulence just as we were rising to altitude and I honestly thought I was going to die. The blonde girl in the video is Catherine Kellner born October 1970. The video was shot in 1998 and was directed by Roman Coppola, Daft Punk and a few others. The DJ is none other than legendary DJ Paul Johnson from Chicago, of Chicago House music fame. Both Bangalter and De Homem-Christo of Daft Punk make cameos in this video, along with legendary Roger Sanchez. This video is of legends back when the rave scene was fun, cool and full of responsible party goers.

Daft Punk themselves are indeed revolutionary. They have been around for 20yrs and still make relevant music. Even tracks like this hold up decades after it was released, and have no signs of deterioration, as other artists have fallen off the face of the earth. If music will be around in 100yrs, I'm sure some of that music will be from Daft Punk. Thank you Thomas and Guy.

They've indeed carved their 'faces', hearts and style in electronic music for years to come. What pisses me off in how so many artists in this genre doesn't give credit or talk about their influences, even when its obvious. Everyone wants to appear confident, authentic and original, but most of the time we're just standing in the shoulder of giants. I think this is the reason Daft Punk isn't more popular and wildly known.

I've listened to this song the moment after every big change in my life. My first day in high school, my first kiss with a girl who ran away, my first kiss with a girl who stayed, my first day at college, and after being kicked out, my second-first day after being accepted back 2 years later, when 2 friends, two uncles, and my grandfather died, graduating school, and now, my first job. I listen because I'm the cop and try and stop the music during these times, but the music persists, regardless of what is happening to me. Music will always be with me, and you, in every step of life. also, daft punk is fuckin amazing.

my favourite video of all time: it stands there with Goldfrapp's- fly away; and Royksopp's - remind me and other ones that I haven't been able to think of at the moment. The song too is so great, always reminds me of Thomas saying that house back then was seen as rebellious music, as it is so repetitive

It doesn't matters if this is almost 2 decades old, this video is still fresh and genial. Normally the attention would be focused on the police incursion, night clubbing, street style, the raid, the escape, arrests, like the most of the movies we are used to. But here the attention focus on an irrelevant details. A slice of everyday routine. A tomato stain, backward to its origins. Like the Music, back to its roots. Whoever one choose to be - a cop, a raver, a pusher (good or bad) we all have something in common, like a mother who everyday prepares the lunch for his son.
