A gay comedian playing a pseudo-gay character displaying every gay stereotype while discriminating an actual gay character for not being gay enough and complaining afterwards about the village's homophobic attitude - it probably can't get more meta than that. Hilarious.
It's funny because in real life Matt prefers going to Arsenal games, drinking pints and singing football songs, David swans about cocktail bars with the girls and is super flamboyant
The whole family loves Little Britain. Have all the series on dvd(yes), It was'nt on the tv here in Norway. Daffyd and what kind of costume he would turn up in the next sketch. There are so many good characters in Little Britain.
For some reason I thought that's what happened, I thought at the end of the series it turned out he was only pretending to be gay for attention, but after searching around I must have imagined that, maybe mixed it up with a different character or something.
The funniest punchline to this sketch would be the two men in the front of the scene playing cards while having a beer 🍻 together ( you can see at timestamp 2:21) to come out as gay/dating each-other . ♑️✍️🇳🇴🇦🇺
I just LOVE the musicality of Welsh speaking English!....And of Welsh speaking Welsh of course! 😂 But sadly I don't speak nor understand any Welsh! Croeso y Cymru! 😂 🏴
In fact it's much more general than that, there are a lot of people who claim to suffer but in part just like complaining. And there are people claim to want something but prefer the longing to the risk of getting what they claim to want. And then there's also the ingroup/outgroup issue in the kind of people's front of judea style.
@@kinggenius930 I think he means a number of like-minded individuals presumed to be bearing the same disposition put in one place by a goal, an objective, or a mission.. in short, those who actually participate in protests and parades and whatnot to gain public attention.. while non-organised LGBT are those who keep their identity only to themselves and to people around them.. they do not go out in parades, wear provocative or eccentric clothing that aims unwanted public attention, doesnt go to kid's school so they could brainwash kids into thinking drag queen is meta and most of all not necessarily brandishing the LGBT ideal of Supremacy or Dominion..
@@jendoi what's sad is the former kind's actions hamper the latter kind and drag them through the mud I've had words with a university contemporary who insists otherwise. Said contemporary also thinks that the tokenism in media that is now being peddled as "representation" is "better than nothing hence why criticism should be quashed", despite my points that it should be criticised in order for future efforts to have more effort than just simply slapping identity affirming dialogue In hindsight I shouldn't be surprised since he consumes post-Disney Marvel and Star Wars, and is therefore a buffoon and a doughnut
Full of stereo types. All the gays only drink rum and coke. All the gays only wear tight latex outfits. This version is better than the original pilot. Love the split-second when Matt almost lost it when David walked in. Great show my kind of humor would never fly in America, too PC. The American version Little Britain USA was funny but not as good, they had to tame it a bit, some of the Sketches were cringy and not for mainstream TV it could only be done by HBO paid channel.
We have our edgy shows. I enjoy I Think You Should Leave. There's also the King of Cringe TV, the Eric Andre Show. The new Kids in the Hall is good, though it's somewhere between Canadian and American television.
Daffyd Thomas isn't really gay. He just wants to be centre of attention. "I am centre of attention." and "Everybody knows I am centre of attention." lol.
Dafid is the best character :D I do hope their next show is at least decently funny, and able to make jokes at the expense of all others not just a specific group, though you have to admit gay jokes will never go out of fashion, even the gays retell them.
@@Donknowww straight guys are also like that. They always try to compete over who’s richer, more successful, more masc, has the hotter GF, bigger penis, etc. It’s just human nature
The “I’m the only gay in the village guy” is like the lgbtq community. They always want to be something special even if it’s 2024 and most people already know there are non hetero people.
Little Britain notice Ddafyyd takes offence to anyone in the bar... hilarous, interesting when focus in on tables left and right. Left appear crumpy, yet right appear happy and gay(relaxed). Maybe its the angle when focusing the camera. Shows that when shooting they should perhaps all appear on one side. Creates a better aspect.
Well, it's like this see. 'Cottaging' is uk slang for hanging around in mens public toilets on the off chance another bloke will be hanging around in said toilet for a casual as they say, liaison... ahem 🙂 So know you know. Cottage and cottaging refers to older countryside public crappers that could with a bit of imagination be considered cottages. lol thus cottaging as a 'passtime'
