Grenfell started with a faulty fridge. And papers being kept in kitchen. People cooking with gas would not have helped. In the event of a fire. My father had electric cooker and he lived on third floor .But his heating was gas. If your every in a fire .Turn the sink and bath taps on.The water will cool it down a bit.
@@Madmarkhor I didn’t understand them. That’s why I asked for clarification of what was written. Your English comprehension is obviously very poor too.
The Freeholder of the block of flats should be held accountable. if the fire brigade has said that there was fire risks then why wasn't there anything done about it?. Thank god the Fire brigade managed to get everyone out. The fire brigade learned from the mistakes made at grenfell, why hasn't the government or the the building owners?
For many years, the Fire Brigade undertook fire inspections on buildings. This stopped in the 2000s, and the responsibility was passed onto the building owners. Enuff said really.
The Fire alarms did not wake any body It was people knocking on doors .That woke people up and got them out.The first engine arrived in 5 minutes. 40 engines were sent and 225 firemen also women. And the long ladder . What started the fire. At least every body got out. The only answer is to build three story buildings. It's to dangerous to go above the height of the long ladder. Well done to fire service.Better than Grenfell. And why has Grenfell not been pulled down. Its been there for years. No one is going to live there any more.
Grenfell needs to be pulled down. And only three stores built there in future. I see a lot of flats going up in London. Who is going to buy them. With all these fires. To dangerous to live in a High Rise. If you are old or young.
No one has been held accountable for Grenfell. The same is true for the building safety scandal and the governments handling of this has been piecemeal. The flat I live in was not built to safety standards in 2006 we await the developers to put this right. In the meantime our service chargers have increased from £2000 a year to £7000. We have had to pay for fire inspections and a 24 hour waking watch patrol. The ‘cost’ of this is falling on the people and ever increasing the financial burden and housing crisis. Paying more to live in an unsafe building doesn’t make it safer.
You'll find that it's actually employees of the Council Housing Dept who arrange the sub - letting . Usually belonging to a particular religious / ethnic background.. I can't wait for the Times " investigative " journalists to cover THAT story.....???
@@metalicminer6231 Please let me create logic. It’s not just about how a fire starts though that should be avoided of course, it’s about how it can spread. 60s built flats were deliberately compartmentalised to stop any fires from spreading. Flames out the window can only get out of control with the unfortunate-help of the modern dangerous cladding system or/and wood scaffolding all of which joins all the apartments together for the journey of the fire.
@@haydenharris3059 of course it's about how the fire starts, most things can be flammable,we used to live in wooden buildings with open fires, all fires need an ignition. I'm not sure if your logic is working?
@@haydenharris3059 you are missing the point, fires don't just start without ignition points, we don't use open flames anymore. So what started the fire is more important.
if there isn't convictions over this deliberate delay in fixing issues, the landlord must be held responsible, but now the question is what will happen to the people if the illigals get better treatment over the people lost there homes it will never be forgiven
It was a big welfare state back in 2008 when i worked there, the biggest in Europe. Gentrification of east and south London in particular by the middle class over croweded the area. Nearby Newham and Barking already stripped of identity and its local community was already full and Dagenham became the next dumping ground. I did hear Canning Town had a huge fire a few months back not sure if cladding was the cause on that one.
Back in 1965 a reorganisation of the London area border took place. Areas that had been part of Essex were moved to Greater London although confusingly the post office still puts Essex as part of the postal address. Area served by London ambulance service. London fire brigade. Metropolitan police. Those entitled to the ENCTS who live in London get to use the underground, docklands light railway Croydon trams National rail within the zones as well as buses. ENCTS from outside London only get the buses. We even have sadiq Khan as mayor of London. I believe I am qualified to mention this as I live in Barking IG11. Supposedly in Essex.
The council is a corporation. Your council tax is paid directly to central gov. They then direct the council as to what they can spend on. The rest of the money is going to uk ltd who pay wef etc huge sums and are not for our benefit. Therefore, the central gov should be answerable to these problems. Esp as they passed the legislation to allow the cladding oversight in favour of corporate profits. The shareholders should be digging deep to be fined and found accountable for the trauma and homelessness caused. Perhaps they should be moved out of their gated developments to house these people and they could stay in their country pads for a while?
Council tax is NOT paid to central government, it is paid directly to your local authority.

Remember watching Grenfell fir on sky news, early hours in the morning, it still Shocks me today, watching it & the fireman telling the ,Now Dead, to go back into a Burning building, i was shouting at the tv, no get out. Haunting.
Grenfell was a massive coverup by The Establishment. A refrigerator exploded, blew the windows out and that allowed the external cladding to ignite. Now what would cause a fridge to explode? Maybe if it contained explosive materials? And what was the intended purpose of thos materials?
People need to read the UK fire regulations. Generally apartment buildings are not required to have audible fire alarms because they are not designed to be evacuated in one go.
Council bosses just finding the ways to get rich ASAP they don't have time to look into these poor people who living in these type of building. They just increasing the service charges and they getting rich, living in Essex's expensive areas
HOW were these death tramps built, a friend built a garage and the council building inspector was on site nearly every day yet large developments near by have been built and it’s now been discovered they lack insulation, fire isolation and in some case wooden cladding.Talking to some builder who are swore secrecy these relatively new flats are now potentially unsellable.
The Tories were so busy raking in political donations from property developers and property billionaires, they forgot to act on all the lessons from the Grenfell disaster in a timely fashion.
National Scandal that these fires are NOT Accidental. Grenfell on TRUMP 70th birthday,, They do love a fire. This one to do with historical events connected to PARIS and where have the controversial games been held..//
