Super 8mm Cine film from the 1970s taken at the Dagenham Town Show

I have the files as recorded from the scanner and can re-edit them to create the stabilised and colour corrected MP4 file, but I will not add my watermarks or titles. I miss this & the parade that used to go over Heathway so much. It’s probably the thing I looked forward too most in summer 😢. Good times. I hope they bring it back one day & restore the boroughs tradition. They brought the parade back once (sort of) but that was only for the London 2012 Olympic Games when the torch when through the borough. That was a fun day too but I wish they would bring it back yearly again

Thanks for bringing back some great memories, Dave. I was in the Dagenham Girl Pipers at the time. Obviously, the DGPs did the parade every year. From memory, commencing at Old Dagenham Village and going along Heathway, Oxlow Lane and Rainham Road into Central Park. Time's change; sadly, not always for the best.

I remember playing the bass drum with the Boys Brigade in 1982 and 1983 Meeting at Old Dagenham Park,through the Heathway,Oxlow Lane, Rainhan Road North,then finishing at Central Park

Looking at that gives me chills....my uncle had the ship and anchor pub nr fiddlers roundabout.All my relatives would have gone to the town show.
