Dahua VTO / VTH Setup (Villa and Apartment) 

I'm very grateful you took the time to prepare this tutorial so well and to tailor it to exactly the issue(s) that many of us multi-vendor installers are faced with every day - how to do the last bit of the configuration on excellent hardware products that are lacking sufficient documentation. The vendor software tools are also great but lack clarity. Your way of explaining this was very structured, super clear and I have bookmarked your tutorial for the next Dahua installation. Thanks big time - saved me hours of hit and miss config via individual device interfaces.

Your videos are so simplistic and to the point. I stuffed around for days watching other vids and could not get them to work until I watched your video and you explained the very last point of assigning which room the VDO would call. Thank you, great video! Saved my bacon today. Only additional note, make sure time is synchronised, it wouldn’t call the intercoms until I synchronised all their times.

Thank you for this very informative and easy to follow instruction, you saved me lot of configuring 2 VTOs and 4 VTHs in my home, the only drawback is that I can see and open the gate from my Mobile DMMS but when someone at the door my mobile is not ringing though the notification is turned on, how I can solve this problem?

This is the only video out of countless others that worked flawlessly. Thankyou. Can I make calls from the VTH to the DMSS app and vice versa? I got it right once but then all doorstation calls coming from the VTO only came to my phone and none to the VTH?

Hi, beautiful tutorial. Is there any way for a VTH to answer calls, but disable the unlock feature?

There is a problem now with password. I've got a VTO2202F-P-S2 and a VTH2621GW-P and when it comes about setting the VTH password in Global Parameters it accepts numbers only (max. 6 chars) while when I initialized it it forced me to enter a min. 8 chars password with letters, numbers and symbols... Therefore you can see that when at the end I click on "Config" (in the Building Config) I get an orange triangle error icon near the VTH saying that the login contains a wrong user/password. How on earth can I come out of this? 🤯

Hello there.. i try to set appartmen vto6521h with vth2621g(w)-p... the only problm is that in the config tool does not accept letters to initialize them together only numbers.. and the vth needs password with numbers and letters.. any idea??

Question regarding VTO3211D-P2-S2 and VTH2421FW-P. Thanks for your great video that helped me set our first video gate system (we normally do just WiFi / Cameras / Music / TV). Mycustomer now ask me more and I can't find any information about how to do it, My customer wants to have 8 RFID Tags, just to open the gate when swipped and nothing more. He also would like to have an RFID reader to open a small door with magnetic lock when swipping same RFID Tag (ne need for calls etc, will be used for staff entrance). Would you please point me in the right direction? Thank you in advance for any help you might provide.

Very well explained. Helped me quite a lot. I still cannot configure ONVIF IP Cams on my Android-based VTH5341G-W. Also, it fails to read the SD card hence I have not been able to install any apps on it. Is there a reference online for troubleshooting ??!!

VTO and VTH settings can be configured from ConfigTools only with SIP 2.0 firmware? Why did you moor configure apartment VTO from the web interface?

Hi Chris!! Thank you very much for the video. After watching it I decided to install a similar system myself. I have 2 VTH2421F-P and 1 VTO 3211D-P2-S2. When exporting the device information I verified that they all have the same IP address (192.168.1.108) which I think is the default IP. In the Global Parameters step, which IP should I put on Server Adress? Thanks!!

Very good tutorial, I finally understood how the config tool works (it really lacks proper documentation). I configured my VTO with 2 VTH, where everything worked fine before except that the 2 VTHs won't ring simultaneously (they were set as 2 master). After following the tutorial they now work BUT I no longer get video when calling the external post via SIP: I can see the camera if I press the "camera" button, I can call the outside post, it answers but the screen goes black. Maybe I messed something with the SIP server configuration?

I did everything as you said, now the problem is that when I add a camera to the VTH, it says it was successful but it is a black screen

Hey I have a issue with a vth, any time I try to set the password at initialisation stage it says password initialisation failed, I can't update the firmware because I can't initialise it, any ideas?

Dear Sir, I've problem whit my project: 1 floor, 1 room, 2 vth1550 and 1 vth1660... 1 main vto2202A. the vto will call all the vth at once. When I try to write the configuration with the ipconfig (building config/assocation list/config) the vto2202 and the vth1660 gone wrong with this message "failed to set building number or unit number". In the project I've set 1 floor, 1 room and 3 extension. I've pictures about that if you want see them. I can I do? thanks in advice, nico.
