SHEALY (formerly Shealy Worship)is the artist name of couple Chris and Summer Shealy who have been making music and leading worship together for nearly 20 years.
Summer grew up in a ministry family with her parents being worship leaders/directors for over 30 years. Chris grew up in a musical family with both his parents playing in the orchestra at their home church every Sunday. Chris and Summer Shealy met at 14 years old, married young and not long after began to worship together in their local church both as musicians and worship leaders. Their parents have been largely influential in their passion for worship, God’s presence and music.
Chris and Summer moved to Dallas TX with the goal of pursuing music full-time. Chris began to work more frequently as a contract musician picking up steady jobs for multiple churches and working in the studio. This season really expanded his skills as a session musician and both of their skills as writers. During this season they began to have kids and grow a family. Music was an ongoing dream and passion but they both worked full time jobs as they developed as artists.
As their kids were growing God called them to help plant in a local church so they walked away from the multiple contract positions and began to lead worship together at the local church plant. Not long after this they began to be asked to travel around the country and parts of the world and various churches within the Catch The Fire movement. Toronto and London became frequent stops as they began to travel and lead worship for conferences and meetings in the USA, UK and Canada.
They were featured on “Presence: Live from Toronto”, “Revival 25” , “Make Us One” and “Matchless” during this time with Catch The Fire World. SHEALY also began traveling to lead worship at conferences like Voice of the Prophet, Greater Things, Cultivate Revival, Kingdom Foundations with Global Awakening.
In late 2021 they launched SHEALY (formerly Shealy Worship) and in the Fall of 2022 released their first live worship album called “Shealy Worship: Live from Global Awakening” . Some of the recent projects include songs, “Your Presence”, “Exodus Song”, “Vine a Buscarte” and they are appearing on the live worship night recordings with record label Pure Mosaic Records being released regularly on RU-vid. The next releases are a collaboration with UK artist Steve Tebb and a collaboration with rapper Brandon Love set to release in late 2023.
SHEALY has a passion to restore purity in the worship movement and to see worship infiltrate all genres of music. They desire to see the sons and daughters of God releasing their sound on the Earth.
