How far do you go on your commute? Obviously you're in CA, with the lane splitting. That really needs to be made legal, at least during traffic jams in the rest of the US. Very common in Europe and Asia, I don't know why it isn't legal outside California. Rant over, cool video!
Eric Weber Hey thanks man! My commute is 11-13 miles away not too far and it can keep up with highway speeds surprisingly for a 400CC bike, but yeah I definitely agree with you about lane splitting!
At these speed I agree with you. In traffic jam instead I think is ok. Stay blocked on a motorcycle under july sun is dangerous for the biker and the bike. You are not inside a air cooled car
@@tizianocosci4923 agreed man. My state (Arizona) just made filtering legal on surface streets, but not highways yet. Seems to be working well, definitely nice to move to the front of stopped traffic at lights. Not seeing too many problems, which is a nice surprise!
Be careful with those keys scratching the mid handlebar. BTW the stock rear mirrors, besides not being massive and having better quality than most stocks, are less likely to touch other cars on the extremes. Just my 2 cents. Cool vid on a bike I also own :) Regards from Barcelona
I get around 63-66mpg with sprited riding. 75mpg+ being conservative. However, i just noticed that i was supposed to put 91 octane in it. I had been using 87. So it might go down a tick with 90-93 octane. Idk. Great on gas either way.
@@erickmorataya2848 yes, I'm aware of that as I live in calif and rode bikes till I got hit by a truck while on my bike and became a paraplegic. Back then we had numerous discussions about lane splitting. Pros and cons. Varying ways of doing it, legal and illegal. Safe and not safe, on and on. We had chp officers also that chiped in. To be blunt, you are asking to get hit. You are weaving, you are going over solid lines. You are going to fast. Cars just cannot see you. It's your business how and what you are doing. But I truly hope a chip stops you to give you a bit of reality. And yes, I split lanes. But basically if the traffic was at a standstill or moving at a very small pace. Ok, I'm done. Have at it.
@@georgecurtis6463 Im soo sorry for your accident and I would never wish that on anyone. In the video you can see I’m only going 30-40 mph while splitting lanes and slowed down as I got closer to vehicles and traffic wasn’t going at a fast pace, i always try to stay safe while splitting lanes as well as you! I enjoyed this conversation! Stay safe friend
