If you bought the ticket for someone that paid you for it and you gave it to them before you knew it was a winner you can only hope they will kick you down some money. ON the other hand if you knew it was a winning ticket before you gave it to them the next day technically speaking you bought it at the store so you won. If I still had physical possession of the ticket personally I would sign the back claim the winnings and kick the coworker down half plus the cost of the ticket. You did all the work and you can prove by video at the store you bought it and signed it. If they get angry and bitch about half then tell them to shut it or they will get nothing. watch them get real quiet real quick and take the 10 million. if they can't accept the 50 50 split keep it all. Place your own bets people. whoever places the bet is the winner period. If someone stakes you or fronts you the money for the bet they only get the money put up back not the winnings. The coworker technically didn't place the bet he just staked you. He would have no legal claim IMHO and wasn't present when the ticket was purchased. Possession is 9/10s of the law.

If I was on the other end, and someone gave me the ticket I bought and I won 20 million, I would give them 5 million at least. If I picked the numbers but they ran the errand to get the ticket with my dollar and numbers I think at least 5 million is fair. Honestly, I would probably give them half (10 million). My numbers/dollar and their physical effort going to the store for me.
