Just a good DA polisher and go steady. If you have access to a paint gauge it's easier to understand clear coat thickness but to be honest you would have to hold the DA in one place to build up enough heat generally to do damage. There are lots of great video's to show you the technique of moving the pad but I tend to use Lake Country and Hexlogic pads and a variety of different compounds. It's not hard and it just takes a bit of practice to get better at it!
@@AllTorque Great thanks Dan 👍 i have been recommended something called Griots compound (?) as it apparently is pretty much perfect for beginners and for the price gives rather good results ! I just need a da and some "niagra falls" 🤣👍👍
