Daily Driving EVO X POV - 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR 

I just rode in the new 2014 Evo the other day and the suspension felt so smooth compared to my s2000, i was shocked at how it was so comfortable yet it could still take corners with hardly anybody roll.

I felt just like this when i was younger, then i got tired of daily driving a manual. But i do still love driving a manual. Good honest vid man

I like how you don't talk about the baby gas tank and MPG.... part of your daily drive is to the gas station

I never daily drive my Evo X because if you live in a place where it's cold, it's twice as much effort because the car wants to fight you for every gear change if you try to drive it normally. So you have to resort to double clutching or just using 1st, 3rd and 5th. On top of that, people stare at you for nearly popping their ear drums from the brake squeal when you try to come to a complete stop. There are quick fixes, but they don't last forever. You really need a backup car as an Evo X owner, these cars are not reliable and are just bland if you drive out of boost.

I just got my brand new 2014 Lancer evolution X, I love it! I use it as a daily driver, I got it Friday night. only has 230 miles on it already. Only bad thing is the gas but besides that I love it. I already ordered parts for my car. I am young tho, and so are all my friends and they all like fast/sports cars, i did get automatic cuz I can't drive standard. I like my car a lot so far. many more mods to come with it. My best friend has a subaru WRX regular standard transmission and he has it for a daily driver and he likes that car a lot to. and were a bit competitive, evo vs subaru. I got mine white.

guys.....EVO OWNER! i need some opinion! PLEASE the dealer asking $26000 for a 2012 evolution gsr with 27k miles. dealer want me to put down 15k and pay monthly $260. dont you guys think it's too much for $260 a month? because i was doing the Auto Loan Calculator for a 2014 evo gsr with 6k miles. dealer asking $33,988. Interest Rate is 3.500% and 72 month for Loan Term. come out 293 a month. its just a little more than the 2012, plus with low miles. and newer year. i already get quote with my auton insurance for the 2012. they said it will be about 450 a month. but i havent get quote for the 2014 yet. im kind off afraid my auto insurance will increase more than 400 a month. ANY OPINION? WHICH CAR IS BEST AND I SHOULD GO FOR? im just super lost right now.

Driving stick shift is annoying in Los angeles

You should tint you windshield at like 55% or 45% it really cuts down the light a lot and is still super easy to see out of.

Hows the fuel economy ? I think that's where most complaints would come from as a daily car.

Great vid. So are the seats very comfortable? I assume the clutch isn't very stiff.

Nicee video. The camera angle was good the way it was pointed down. I drive a manual Honda Civic and I feel like I'm getting annoyed with daily driving it lol. I love manual trans cars and like that interaction with the car, feels nice to be shifting gears yourself. But, it just gets annoying sometimes with the people that sit on your bumper on a hill. I feel like if I was driving a car I really enjoyed, like a sports car or even some slower cars that I like, I wouldn't mind daily driving it because it'll always be a fun ride stepping on it and stuff.

I had the H&R's(btw is the lowest spring your can buy) truth be told only the swift-R's will improve stock handling, the tein-s and h&r require a roll correction kit to correct geometry: both AMS And whiteline have the kits. its not something you notice daily driving. its kinda like get the H&R or tein-s and look good but take a handling hit, or use the swifts but your car still looks stock but has benefits. when i got my. fortune auto 500's was like night and day, you can order them to spec, from valve rate to spring rates( they ship with 8k/ op 4>28k) the H&R are rated at 3.5k to 4k.The CZ4A stock handling is really world class(.99 on the skip pad)it is a set of king springs from being able to run legit rally stages. IMHO springs are a short term investment, mostly never work out in the end. with the exception of the swift-r/MR-bilsteins which some people use to race on because its such a good combo. in the end you will end up with coils and you gotta do your homework.for the price fortune auto and feal motorsprots are pretty sick. other then them, your gonna spend 4-6k. i always like your vids casue we know all the same people its interesting on how our cars are so different.

I think its a great daily driver, i have swift spec r springs on mine,its not bad at all.

Manual vs Automatic, both have its pros and cons. Auto would be used for frequent stops at traffic like congested areas and without the frequent use of clutch/shifting. Manual is good for daily drives but not at places with frequent stops

Nice evo and good video, but the only think I dislike about the evo is that is has a deep front window, you cant see the hood of the car.That's just something I dislike about cars, it gives me like a weird feeling

Well I need to learn manual but don't have any manual cars laying around and im in socal like you so can you possibly refer me to any driving school if you know any? Also, since your car is a lease, are you going to be buying it out after the lease is over? Someone told me they oversell the evo for what it's worth so I just wanna make sure before I get mine. Plus what is your insurance like? Teenager driving an evo and having it be a lease on top of that must be somewhere in the range of 200-300 a month...
