What it's like to daily drive a 1983 Mercedes 300TD - W123 Chassis. Throttle OM617 Heater Climate Control Blower Motor Intake Headlight Switch 300TD 300D 300CD
I have an 85 wagon. Had the same headlight problem. I cleaned all the contacts in the fuse box and replaced all the fuses with new Mercedes-Benz fuses. Headlights work like a charm now!
I daily drive my 1982 300td… I love driving it but I only have street parking as an option and I’m always chasing down some little problem. The car always gets me where I’m going but it is always kind of an adventure. I had the opposite headlight problem and wiggling the wires next to the headlight fixed the problem… but then my glow plug light went out so I wiggled that wire and changed the fuses and now all of my lights work.
I am going for a 1987 300TD TURBO as a daily driver. Your video is very informative. I currently drive a G35 COUPE 6/MANUAL... slightly quicker vehicle.
Please Sir take all that weight off of your keychain. That’s gonna ruin your key switch calibration and toggle. And you will have to replace it from the dealer because it must be calibrated correctly to your car by the vin number if you want to use the same set of factory keys. Please have your master and valet keys separate from the others.
i still daily drive my 41 year old 240D. its funny how people record themselfs to see what the experience is like to drive one of these cars cause people just dont drive these cars.. yeah they turn necks but as someone who doesn't like poeple or talking to people and knows every inch of my car i loathe that people come up to me and ask me questions about it or try to give me their two cents on how to "tune" it, yet it doesnt take much to tune them.these cars are so great, despite the rust they get on them and the toxic information thats in the mercedes diesel community
