Nice work! That’s really nice they have the grease fittings grouped together like that. Lubing the machines is definitely a must!

Use the plastic cap from the grease tube to lift the tab on the other end so you don't have to take off your glove to do it.

Trust me it's not that great. Unless you own the company you get paid pennies. And even owning the company you're always under stress and fixing things is expensive and messy. Don't worry you didn't miss a thing! Chris is only successful because the business is family owned and started before he was born. If he tried it on his own he'd have an old mini doing frog ponds. Plus Volvo definitely hooks him up with deals to promote them so yeah...

As clean as you keep your machines I was surprised to see that you didn’t carry a rag to wipe the excess grease off. Volvo putting the grease zerk banks on there is very handy! Wish you would have let that music play! 🎶 Don’t stop, believin!! 🎶
@Rockin_Roll
@Rockin_Roll 4 года назад
I was taught, when greasing...to wipe off the zert... *Before* you grease, to avoid injecting dirt into the line(s)....Also, to wipe off any excess grease, when you are done, to minimize the dirt and dust collecting on the tip of the zert....but hey.....this may be over kill for some...but it makes for good practice, for better maintenance......good luck.

It's good to see routine maintenance being done . It sure does cut done on costly repairs,...a tube of grease is a lot cheaper than pins and bushings!!

We have auto-greasers that make it easy but like you say it can make a real mess especially on the boom since everything is greased at the same rate it seems. I wish we could do end of day maintenance seems like a great idea instead of rushing in the morning when you also have the days work etc on your mind as well. I’d rather have the peace of mind of doing it right so that Milwaukee grease gun looks like a better option. There’s a reason why good machines stay looking good 👍

So I just started working for this company and we have Volvos 250 and 380, I run my 380 hard all day. In various conditions, concrete dust, mud, water, lots if clay and sometimes at the end if the day my machine starts to squeal. Today my boss tells me, "I'm overgreasing the machine, That I need to grease the machine once a week." What do you guys think?, and if there are any volvo experts out there. Please respond.

Can’t you leave the auto greasing connected and just take it off for the bucket? So that the only manual greasing is the stick. Or do the lines stick out to far even on the stick? Also do they have an option so that everything on the machine is auto greasing.
