It still feels surreal to me that over 4 million of you have watched this vlog and I love that y'all are sharing your daily life schedules as well : ) I have so much fun reading about your thoughts on Korean education and your schedule! I noticed a lot of you wondering about similar stuff about this video so I thought I'd just write some down for you guys

Is nobody gonna mention the fact that these students spent their after school time studying until it's almost midnight, cause DAMNNN SON, I never open a single textbook once i reached home unless i was forced to do it.

In India we have, Schools running for profit Teacher's "teaching" for salary Students "studying" for marks

An hour for lunch + recess? Damn. Here in the US I try to sleep during the five minutes we get in between each class lol.

This is my school life in India :- 6:00am to 6:30am - wake up & get ready. 6:30 to 7:00 am - exercise 7:00am to 8:00am - Study 8:00 to 8:30 am - Breakfast 8:30 to 11:00 am - Classes 11:00 to 11:15 am - short recess 11:15 to 12:25 pm - classes 12:25 to 1:00 pm - lunch break 1:00 to 3:00 pm - classes 3:00 pm - school over 3:00 to 3:30 pm - go home with friends 3:30 to 4:00 pm - eating snacks & watching TV 4:00 to 5:00 pm - reading books 5:00 to 7:00pm - Exercise 7:00 to 8:15pm - dinner 8:15 to 9:00 pm - study 9:00 to 10:00 pm - TV or phone or books 10:00 to 10:30 pm - trying to sleep. 10:30pm to 6:00am : GOOD NIGHT 😴😴

Our student life usually goes like this - 1.Wake up at 6 , tuition from 7 , sometimes 7:30 2. Finish the first one at 9:30 and go to the next class by 9:40-45 3. That finishes at 11 , then go to school 4. Enter school by 11:15 5. Keep your bags and come down for assembly ( I hv to get down first because I'm the assembly co ordinator and the class rep so it's not like you need to get down the second u go up ) 6. Go back up , class starts at 12, first class 40 mins 7. Second class for 40 mins again 8 third will be 35 mins ( fav period of mine lol ) 9. Then u hv lunch for 30 mins ( we get like 15 mins , the third class is always extended to the lunch time but whatever) 10. Next class starts And it'll be if 40 mins 11. One more 12. One more 13. Last one 14. Now theres gonna be all the official stuff done for the next day , announcements, if there's any form , distribution of that blah blah blah whatever 15. Then usually we leave but I stay back at times to get some work done and all . 16. Now we go directly to a tuition that starts at around 5:30 17. Finish that at 7:30 and go for one more at 8 18. Finish that at 10 and come back home 19. Eat something, then study again 20. Finally crash at around 4 in the morning Some rules - 1. No electronics whatsoever, not even an analog watch till cl 9 2. Specific uniform and not a hair outside that 3. Hair for girls omg 4. Specs should be blue or black 5. No nail polish 6. U. Can . Not. Simply. Leave . Your. Class. At. Any. Point. In. The. Day. not. Even. Recess 7. Not allowed to leave campus under any circumstance 8. You can't enter the rooftop or the co ordinators office 9. Music room is out of reach of u aren't practicing 10. Library accessible only 1 hr before school and 1 hr after [ Exceptions are there for student council but the consequences are crazy if u misuse your powers ]

Feels like you get less than 8 hours of sleep every school day. Fighting !

Instead of studying, I'm watching this and now it makes me feel guilty

In my class, when it's recess time, it's chaos. My classmates are like animals that has been locked up in a cage for thousands of years

wtf.... they actually learn the language? They are good at English while I can't even have a small french conversation and I've been learning it for 3 years. I wish school would provide lessons for pupils who actually want to learn the language or let people choose whether they want to actually learn the language or have french lessons.

Meanwhile at my school here in the US, in the past week two girls got into a fight because one of them got an abortion and the other didn't like that and it ended with one of them going to the hospital, two guys got into a fight in the bathroom, a promposal happened, a cloud of bees swarmed a wall, and the water main broke and we had to leave school early.. Good times....

This is my last year in high school and it's lockdown in India. I'm missing school so much.😢

In my Japanese high school: I go to school at 8:10 Reading 8:40~8:50 1st period 9:00~9:50 2nd 10:00~10:50 3rd 11:00~11:50 4rd 12:00~12:50 Lunch break 12:50~1:35 5th period 1:35~2:25 6th period 2:35~3:25 Cleaning 3:25~3:40 Class ends at 4:50 There are days when I have club activities. When I do, I go home at 6pm. When I don’t, I go to this study area like in this video and it ends at 5pm~7pm.

The food you're provided are so much healthier than the crap that's sold in school canteens and are quite more organised and clean! Here in Australia high school canteens sell over-priced junk food and most kids are too lazy to put there rubbish in the bin! That's what I love about schools there except I don't agree with the ridiculous long school hours - I wouldn't last and just end up sleeping lol

In my country, Sri Lanka, the Government schools dont even allow phones in the school. we can get suspended or expelled if we bring one. If accidentally brought we must inform teachers. make up is not allowded at all.

Hi , I am from India....and generally in our school we have to study 6 to 8 hours , but I found our school more strict in comparison of Korean School . like we are not allowed to take stuffs like, sunglasses, makeup products ,snacks,cell phone in class room.. and we don't get recess after every period, we are not allowed to go outside the class remaining the lunch time ,we get only 15-20 minutes for lunch and other works, wearing makeup is not allowed in school , girls have to make two simple braids...open hair is not allowed ,i found that the girls are watching films Or drama in classroom ,in our school if teacher found us watching anything in class we are definitely thrown out of the school,and wearing jackets of same colour is compulsory... Although I love South Korea ❤😍and it's my dream to go there 😊.

In India, we are not allowed to bring our phones to school. I think Indian schools are much different from other schools in different countries.

I love how the Korean School culture is. In my country, the rules are so so strict. We can't take our phones with us, we have only one break and it's of 20-25 minutes only, on which we have to eat lunch. 😭💜 You guys are so lucky lol

South Korean schools are so different from Swedish high schools, I wouldn't even make it through 1 week without any complaints for example classes we need to change rooms and in all my years in school I have only seen/used a whiteboard and not the green ones like in the beginning of the video. The school restaurant is also different we pick our own food and we can eat a ton of food if we want to. But to say it short I would lay dead in a Korean school within a week or two
