I am recently retired and have been chipping away at some serious DEEP cleaning of each room, with painting, reorganization of drawers and closets, etc and evaluating the status of things. While my husband likes a clean home, it has given him more projects on his plate (he is a contractor). Your video inspires me to once I have addressed every room (1 more to go!), to ramp up even more on some of these habits to maintain the rooms looking great all the time. Thanks for your ideas.

Randi, it is a pleasure to watch your videos. They are both relaxing and inspiring. You must have minored in psychology to have achieved this! My house is an overwhelming mess and I’m often too emotionally and mentally tired to deal with it. But your videos have hit a sweet spot for me-I watch part of a video-then I get up and clean and organize. Yay! I also really like your choice of music.

I love how the pup did not even move a muscle when you moved the ottoman. My cats are the same way, they just continue to sleep, that is until the vacuum makes it's appearance. Your videos are both so relaxing and motivating all in one. I just discovered your channel and I am really enjoying it.

First time viewer and just wanted to say I love your stained kitchen cabinets. I always think the all white ones make them look cheap, like painting them white was the builder's short cut. Stained and sealed wood make the space look more luxurious.

You do the same things I do! And I have an Aussie that’s in my way every day 🤣 I have to take my 15 month old pup to the trails a mile away a few days a week to wear her out. I owned an interior design business for 31 years and my biggest complaint from homeowners not liking their house was the mess and clutter. They didn’t know it but their homes weren’t the problem, but their clutter and being messy. They had to be taught how to stay organized and to not make messes. Sounds easy but I had to help by keeping the houses clean for a few weeks while they learned. Being organized is easy for me, but some people don’t have any clue what to do. I have many day’s personally that my house can be a wreck. I’m in the middle of remodeling this 121 year old cottage and I have to know when to step away from my routine to tackle issues and projects and just not worry about things normally maintained. No one’s going to die from it🤣 love your channel!

I think what struck me most was that Randi was free to work, no interruptions, no one drinking all her coffee and leaving her with an empty pot, no one asking for anything. I can’t seem to finish anything before the next demand comes. I agree with the previous comment that keeping a house clean with no kids, etc is much easier. I’ll take the mess over being without my messy fam!😊

so without all of them or before you had them, you would have/were doing all of this to keep your house tidy? many of us don't do this or even a quick version of this type of systematic and focused organization or cleaning even when we have the time and space to do it...And some people with large families manage to keep a routine like this...no need to minimize what she is doing as if it doesn't really count because her family structure isn't like some others. she does what she does well, let's appreciate it and learn what we can...and you do you the best you can. All good.

Randi has two dogs and they might even be older. Regardless, this is a alot of work making sure to clean up their messes along the way while she goes about her schedule. No need to minimize her efforts. She is dedicated to her routine and looks like she would be the same way if she had kids.

I make an effort to clean and tidy the kitchen before going to bed- it makes a big difference in the morning looking at a tidy kitchen. I put on the kettle for tea and unpack the top on the dishwasher and then later when I make coffee I empty the bottom half of the dishwasher.

Hi Stephanie! I do a lot more of the house work because I don’t have a long commute. But my husband does pitch in, especially with the after dinner clean up. I try to get to bed between 10 and 10:30. Im always tired in the morning. Just wired that way. Having your life “in order” is like trying to find a unicorn or the end of a rainbow 😂 i write out everything i want/need to do, and focus on what I have to do. I never get everything done. I get some of it done on most days and I get most of it done on a good day. Progress not perfection. 😉

This is the first time I've watched your videos. I really enjoyed them and you have inspired me to follow some of your ideas. I really liked how you had the bathroom towels in a basket . Regardless of what anybody says you're living proof that it is doable. I have multiples of things and don't need to have so many so I'm going to follow more of your videos and try to associate them little by little into my life. thank you very much I wish you were close by and have you come over and do my whole house LOL. I also like how you try not to do another load of laundry if you have a load to fold in the dryer. Very good tip.

I also didn’t know that you worked apart from RU-vid, no wonder you are so busy! I can see why being so organised works for you. Is it nosy to ask what sort of work your husband does? I’m impressed that he seems to help out a lot, it’s nice to see a couple working as a team. My husband is a repair technician, but he prefers that I don't share personal information about him. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don't know how I would manage with out him. It's literally freezing here. 🥶 over night lows are in the low 30s.

This is my routine too. Hop out of bed. Make my bed. Wash up and clean the bathroom. Put on coffee and unload dishwasher. Throw a load of clothes in washer and enjoy my coffee.❤

This video was like watching myself. I do the very same things...well I don't have pets., and my husband has since passed away (14 yrs ago), but I do have my 2 young adult children who live with me. We lived, for many years in So. Calif. too. Now we live in Arizona. I have to have a clean kitchen all the time, do dishes through out the day, and tidy up before bed each night. I love walking out into a clean and tidy kitchen. It's such a great way to start the day. Thanks for sharing 🥰🌱🌷💐🍒💗✝

Before I had kids my house was spotless, but I had to choose my kids or my house. The kids won. :) I found a good balance. Then came my husband's stroke in 2020. We had to get rid of rugs and anything he could trip over or the wheelchair could snag on. The downstairs is usually ok, but the one room that nobody is allowed in is MY bedroom. It's the only space totally my own. If it's messy, so be it. I'm constantly in survival mode. Anyway, what I tried to do the years before the stroke was not let stuff pile up. Waking up to dishes in the sink is icky and I'm not a morning person, so that would kick me over the edge at 5:30 AM. There's a balance folks. Do bits at a time. You can do it!

Hi. I really enjoyed the evening reset. The dinner looked delicious as well. Could you possibly let me know what was in the marinade you used for the chicken. My evenings look very much like your routine. I prepare my next day's coffee. I clean as I go and try to have as much of my meal prepared before actually preparing it. For the past year or so I have been making my bed when I wake up. And when my husband is working overnight and he is in bed last, he has even started making the bed when he gets up. He doesn't really understand my need to organize my refrigerator but there are other habits that I have adopted over the past year that he has picked up on and it makes life so much easier. I believe I have learned a lot from your videos. As well as they make me feel very relaxed. I have even had to go back and watch some of your older videos if I am not satisfied yet. haha Thank you! Thanks for sharing your daily routine. I enjoyed your video and choice of background music. Very nice. New subscriber. I’ve developed similar habits and daily routines. A morning reset and a nightly reset. I don’t leave a room without scanning for things to return to their place. Putting things away as I finish using them. I clear my car on exit. I declutter my purse when I bring it in and put it away. I strip the mail daily. The keepers go in a hanging wall file for my desk work day. My washer doesn’t have a programmable timer. But, I start it in the morning as needed. Firm believer in folding straight from the dryer and putting away each load straight away. We make a loosely followed menu for the week. With just 2 of us here - both retired - we love to cook enough for leftovers. Cook once & eat 2-3 times. And, some times my husband does a lot of the kitchen duties - cooking and clean-up. Sometimes I do. Sometimes we both do. Yesterday I cooked, he cleaned. This morning he put away clean dishes. Tonight he took leftover chicken noodle soup and kicked it up with veggies. Then he cleaned up the kitchen. Practiced habits and routines keep things running smoothly and it takes less time to do.

Very good ideas here, nice laundry room and LG set. Have that coffee grinder, then got the Grind and Brew, now have Cuisinart single brew/grinder, but always grind fresh to preserve flavor.

Such a sweet lady . I work nights 12 hr shifts I can’t seem to fit cleanup time in to my routine and I hate that so much because I love a clean house. Any suggestions? What about yard work? I have a zero lot but I also have a balcony I haven yet even started to scrape the leaves and twigs away at 54 I am finding this harder and harder to do. Great vids thanks for posting.

After a 12 hr shift I'm toast! There's barely enough time to eat. But I'd love to have longer hours and shorter work week. I used to do all the cleaning Thursday night when we had a smaller place. Make a list to help come up with a schedule that works for you.

One thing I learned from a college roommate, is to fold directly from the dryer into the laundry basket. Taking the socks out and placing a single on the edge of the basket until tis mate is located works for that> I " fold" the towel in the air/against my body and roll it. not as nicely as you do on the ironing board. thanks for the spa feel towel fold. Think about it. Might save you some time. Also with raw chicken I open into the sink and place in the pan in the other sink. I have a plastic bag to the side of the sinks so I can dispose of the original container immediately and drop it int he trah. That way raw chicken juice is contained. This might save you some steps as well. Thanks for sharing! Love teh airing of the bed. I hadn't thought of that!!!

Oh my god - thank you for folding towels the way you do! This is how I fold mine and everyone thinks it's so weird, but it's so satisfying. No seams showing. All towels facing the same way for a clean and organized look. All towels are the same size. Love it.

It appears she doesn't turn her dirty laundry inside out to keep from getting pilled.I love the way she folds. Using ironing board for folding is pretty smart

Hi Carolyn! Washing inside out does save clothes. I use laundry bags to protect delicates and sweaters.

I do laundry 1 day a week .how do you guys do a load a day because I never have enough to do 1 load a day but I separated my clothes whites, colors,dark, then jeans,towels, sheets,& quilts I wish I could figure out the 1 load a day would be much easier help please
