That 'chariot' card ... seems he is keeping his balance in a precarious situation, while moving along fast and looking the other way. That's my best shot at it.

The Chariot. Is this about taking back control, not letting the ego distract from where we're headed? He's loving the attention so much that he's taken his eyes off the prize and he's in danger of going in the wrong direction. This seems to fit with the 7 of Swords for me. It’s a Monday here today in India, and I’m watching your reading as I sip on coffee and toast. Looking forward to my work day and meeting my boyfriend in the evening who is not responding to mine or his parents or his own call for action on a future plan. I’ve come back from a three day sojourn from a beachy place where I attended a workshop on culinary anthropology (love anything about food). The three days were also a great break from everyone and everything I know. Had a serendipitous moment on Saturday and Sunday as per your weekend reading. And this Monday reading is spot on. Watched a documentary film Monterey Pop about the first music festival in San Francisco during the Summer of Love, then for jollies the beginning of A Hard Days Night where the Beatles are being chased through the station. That was about as much Sixties nostalgia for the time being. Thank you for a Tarot of the 78 Doors reading!! 💃💃

Hi Gemma, My favorite documentary is The Incredible Journey. I know it has the “J” word in the title but it’s a wonderful story about the life cycle of sea turtles and the amazing distances they span throughout their long lives. A few others include The Natural History of the Chicken, which doesn’t have anything to do with history but really fun and quirky stories about people and their beloved hens. Another one is Parrot Confidential, a beautiful documentary about rescuing parrots - so moving! There’s also the sweet story, The Wild Green Parrots of Telegraph Hill, based in San Francisco, California. There you go!😊

Seven of swords: I see it as a distorted reality but also something sneaky because of the face (reflection?) in the painting. That or a less nefarious “each person has their own perception of the truth, and it might not be what it seems” type of thing

Thank you, Gemma!! 😊 I’ve been fascinated with archaeology & anthropology since I was about 10 possibly younger. It all started when I would read books from the library on mythology. Then I learned about my great great grandmother not being able to speak Spanish so my great grandmother would have to translate for my grandmother. That started my obsession with all the mesoamerican cultures, Incas, and Egypt. Those are usually the documentaries I watch. Although not too long ago I watched a Turkish drama and it had the ancient ruins of Gobekli Tepe. So I guess anything ancient is my cup of tea for documentaries 😁❤️ As I got older I was actually considering becoming an archaeologist. My business teacher had been an archaeologist and had a serious talk about it with me. As much as she loved it and missed it, she also explained the downside of it. Besides the heat (which I can’t handle) constantly trying to find work when there are many people fighting for the same thing makes it difficult to find consistent work in the field. That was why she went into teaching. She was my favorite teacher. She could also type at a ridiculous rate of like 150 words per minute possibly faster. I can’t remember the number. I just remember we would all stop typing when she would get going because the sound was insane and very cool. 😅

I will have to check out the void. I liked my Octopus Teacher, I have a couple Pina Bausch dvds I can lend out, Koyaanisqatsi and Powers of Ten are staples for me. I recently laughed at the Isabella Rossellini shorts that may help with animal classification

The rockstar chariot is on tour, he has to go, but the adoration of the fans makes him want to stay, but the party has to move on to another town. His driver is facing forward, he is facing back, and the fans are chasing after him, no doubt wanting him to stay. Chariot pulling in two different directions.

I am watching a seriously good documentary series about the Nuremberg trials. I wouldn’t usually be so enthusiastic about a Hitler documentary, but this one is really well done. They’ve taken actual film and sound recordings from the trials and re-enacted them along with actual footage of the war to tell the story. I’ve learned more than I learned in all my years at school. And the parallels with the present day cannot be avoided. Anyway, I cannot remember the title except it has “Hitler” and “Evil” in it.

Started watching new documentary on channel 4 last night by Suranne Jones - Investigating Witch Trials. Gosh. What a scary time to be alive as a woman.. fascinating and frightening and lots of comparisons to life in the modern day and the challenges we face as females.. part two tonight!! Morning Gemma, I definitely recommend the 2020 Netflix documentary My Octopus Teacher which is about a South African National Geographic photographer in lockdown and his relationship with an octopus he visits everyday while diving. I know you love an Octopus and this goes way beyond dare I say it even David Attenborough, an emotional roller coaster. Cheers!

Both figures on the chariot card are "drivers" of a sort. The celebrity is "driving" the situation as a whole because, without their celebrity pull, they wouldn't be there. Neither of them would have a job. However, facing the opposite direction of the celebrity is the car driver. Also driving the situation, literally. There's horsepower under there. But they are opposed to each other, facing opposite directions, with different goals in mind.

Documentary: Heal, on A Prime- fascinating look at alternative medicine and healing. Please share more about the white stick that gets stains out- always happens over here 😂!! Love the reading and quite happy to accept permission and focus on some “me” for a drastic change😵‍💫!! The white stick is called Vanish. It comes in a powder and a liquid but the solid bar is the one to get. It’s cheap in the UK but not sure if it’s available abroad? Let me know 🙏🩷

Yes, and in spades as far as types and colors, but the bar you mentioned is there and only $5 so I'm grabbing one. Being able to clear hard stains without bleach would be awesome. :)

TheChariot: the musician is facing backward of the car's direction?? Also..Coffee (Even w cream and sugar) comes out easily with just regular (very hot) tap water and (even hand) soap IF you run it through Immediately! Love your readings! They r always exact Gemma!

About the Seven of Swords, this is a long shot because I know very little to nothing about art, but could it be laying the groundwork for something? I mean don’t artists build paintings with layers of shapes and colors? Like she’s doing the preliminary work beforehand and she’s going to add layers that fill in light and final shapes. Like in more traditional cards, stealing the swords is part of a long view strategy.

I feel like in that 7 of swords card, the artist is painting her version of the truth. Not intentionally a lie, but more like an interpretation of the truth. I just watched Brats about the Brat Pack. It was nice but was more like a Q&A rather than a documentary. I wanted a deep dive!

With the chariot, there’s a chauffeur in the car who can’t drive because the rock star is standing up and wants to stay with his adoring fans. Two different intentions? So kind of a stop-and-go in the same car.

Is that Valentine on the other side of the bed? It is very hot here, actually in most of the USA and we need rain. I am so hoping we get some rain in the next few days, our gardens need it and frankly so do it. I'm the mom of a few years old boy and I know about the laundry. I'm kind of guilty of continuing to do it for him and actually spouse and self. I don't mind. I'm very efficient and try to use natural methods as much as possible in laundry. So I totally relate to the white shorts!

Maybe you told us because I need to find a diamond bar myself. I’m always spilling stuff and I’ve got a Jewett effective stain remover called spray and wash, but the smell is absolutely poisonous and I’m not sure I can take it anymore. I’ll definitely be doing some googling.
