Would love a reflection of living by yourself now vs the last time

As an owner of a reactive dog due to covid and an attack it can be very difficult. Don’t be hard on yourself you are doing so so well and acknowledging what you need to improve on. Always remember to take time for yourself and take a moment. Also thank you for acknowledging your small dogs reactivity, and doing everything you can to help them understand and feel comfortable in the world around us.

I recently started therapy - after YEARS of putting it off. Only just the beginning but so glad I decided to take the plunge! So proud of you on this self discovery journey you’re on! Also, you have to watch Station 19! If you love Greys, you’ll probably enjoy S19 too ☺️

I really enjoyed hearing about your training, my dog Amaya is so similar, she just loves dogs and people so much she gets over excited and forgets she has a brain :p haha

I put things in safe places and forget what that safe place was too often!

Hey Georgia, as someone who commonly struggles with the coffee shakes... I know what helps to not have them/ have minimal shakes, I only have coffee with a good amount of food in my stomach beforehand. My uni pals told me this and its so so useful! Make sure there is natural foody fuel in your stomach before the caffeine if possible. Orrrrrrrr if you're someone that likes matcha, because the caffeine comes from refined green leaves, it doesn't give you the shaky feeling which others things can :)

You should totally show us some of the stuff you are doing that is working with Winston! I've got a dog who is the same and gets extremely hyper and uncontrollable whenever other dogs go past me on walks, and it's so embarrassing because I feel like I have no control over her. :( Not in the financial situation to be able to afford dog training.

Would getting Winston a lil “in training” collar make you feel like folks may judge you less? I know when I see those collars I’m like “oh yeah no worries my dude”

My dreams are the same when I wake up and go back to sleep and it continues! It's so cool until they are nightmares and you're too tired to wake up. 😂

Having a large, black pit bull; I get it. It is difficult but so worth it for the quality of life they will get from it❤

Thank you for saying that all professionals aren’t actually that great and “professional” with the dog training thing. This goes for so many aspects of life!

Having a reactive dog is super hard but you’re definitely taking the right steps for improvement! My dog is super reactive due to having a hard first year of life, once we adopted her and introduced her to new dogs we hoped things would change but hasn’t gotten much better, YET! Just keep working at it and Winnie will be a dog loving dog in no time hehe ❤❤❤

Some dogs are just more anxious than other dogs and get overwhelmed easily so things like throwing up may be just a reaction and sometimes keeping them in more calm spaces is just easier for both the dog and you…

okay but have you seen private practice? it's a grey's spinoff!

the best thing I learnt about going to therapy was that the hardest part is honestly getting the support and making that first appointment. After that it only gets easier and you will learn that your therapist is always on your side and wants the best for you.

It also depends on the dog. I have found that some dog trainers don't work for all dogs

It is so fun hearing about your training with Winnie! My dog is exactly the same and it’s been pure joy watching him improve and finally be able to sit at a cafe and have a coffee while my pup is just hanging out. Keep at it! It’ll get there soon ❤
