Other countries/ states have national songs apart from the national anthems...Georgia on my mind by Ray C is the state song for Georgia, we should petition to have this as our national song in Kenya. It should be sung in every public holiday and national function after the national anthem.

Listening to this song after the massacre that happened to Gen Z in Kenya yesterday on 25th June 2024. My heart is heavy. What a sad state our leaders have reduced this nation to. Let it not be forgotten they almost wiped out an entire generation with bullets just to maintain leadership and oppressive laws. Our maumau fighters would be sad to hear their great great grandchildren were shot dead infront of parliament. Kibaki would be sad to hear we went back to Nyayo regime rule.
