Actually it's the other way around: Level 1 protectors: The maximum transmitted force must be below 18 kN, and no single value shall exceed 24 kN Level 2 protectors: The maximum transmitted force must be below 9 kN, and no single value shall exceed 12 kN.

Why did you have to pay $450 if it went off while you were riding? Which shop did you buy it from Australian shop?

@@IN_ZANE_ I bought it from the Dainese online shop. $450 was the price to replace the bag, and test it. They don’t know if your lying or not, I don’t think there is any policy on accidental deployment while riding, you take or leave it. I wasn’t happy but what do you do, it’s not even a nice looking waist coat.

​@ritchieok29 There's gps and accelerometers. They can go thru the data and see if you're lying.

@@ayowser01I don’t know what your point is, and besides it’s irrelevant, you pay to replace the bag. I doubt old mate in Melbourne in 2020 was checking, and besides it had to go back to Italy to get it fixed.

Nothing really addresses this in Dainese's warranty packet information, but you are likely best to reach out to them directly and ask if you are still concerned.

The whole point of the jacket is to be lightweight and breathable for the summer months, it has full airbag protection and CE2 level shoulder and elbow armour ... It's top notch protection.

You can see it in your bike’s rear view mirror.

I have the vest and i love it. So when you start your bike, the computer will feel the vibration from the bike and you will feel one long buzz on your chest right there where the light is and you will know that the airbag is engaged. When you stop and turn the bike off, you will feel 3 short buzzes that means the vest is unengaged. Overall one of the best investments i've done lately. Just keep in mind if you wanna wear the vest underneath the jacket, you need to get one size bigger of a jacket so in case of accident the airbag will have enough room to deploy. Stay safe. I cant believe this comment has 3 likes. I have the vest and you can feel the vibrations or check in your mirror. It's not difficult at all.
