I'm a 35-year electrician. It's only complicated when you don't do it every day. What you do looks very complicated to me! Keep up the good work! God Bless the farmers!
Yup, also an electrician and thought exactly the same thing. You do one house and you'll have a pretty good handle on it... You're pretty handy, farmers are the millwrights of the rural world.
I really appreciate how you speak so calmly to your cows. You can tell how it makes for peaceful cows. Our killers used to ‘yell’ at our cows and we had nervous cows.😊
I love how the cows, young and old, kick it up when you let them into their freshly bedded pens. I do the same thing! I really get a sense of peace watching how hard you work, how you take care of and are concerned for the cows, and how you never really complain about anything. It's also nice that dad doesn't have to worry about things falling apart while he is on his mission. It must really be comforting for him knowing the farm is in such good hands. Thanks for taking us along.
Eric - Make sure you put in a conduit chase so you can run any wires after everything is sealed up. Having a case from basement to 2nd floor and another from basement to attic gives you a lot of options later if you need to run cat6 to a room or some other electrical need.
A little late on the planter but Presision Planter Solutions has a very good double bushing system that works very well oops!😂 Congratulations to your sister an future brother in law Andrew! Always looking forward to your videos each week,I know you are a busy young man with the house building project. Thanks very much Eric and all involved 🙏🙏.
Home wiring is relatively simple. Was electrician for three years. However; a couple of years after returning from the Vietnam war I hired out as a brakeman/conductor on the Southern Pacific Railroad. Now retired... 👍 Sure like your videos!
Everything is coming along nicely! The house looks like it is going to be very comfortable. Glad your Dad is getting a break. Take care of yourselves. God bless.
Hi Eric, glad to see you posting. I was a bit concerned as I hadn't seen a video in a week or so. The house is looking very nice, indeed. I'm anxious to see the basement once you get power down there. I think it would be cool to elaborate more about your dad's mission trip. I've done quite a bit of missionary work before, and still do while I'm here in the Philippines. Well, keep safe and take it easy. God bless you.
Won't it be nice to move in with the family. I'am happy for you guys. You deserve it. I love watching those heifers jump back into their beds. Like Christmas morning to them! Cheers 🇨🇦
Wow, the house is coming along nicely Eric.👍🏻I'm sure the open winter we've had so far has helped, especially getting the cement work done. The little one will have a blast romping around through all those rooms. 😀
Some of my best memories as a kid was the 2 or 3 weeks I used to spend on my aunt & uncle's dairy farm in sharron springs ny. I was just running around playing with all the animals & equipment that I was allowed to climb on. But looking back when I got older it FINALLY hit me how dam hard they were all working from the time they got up untill they went to bed & now I know why they slept so good, they were exhausted I have nothing but the most respect for farmers and thank God we have these people in our country. Keep up the great work & congratulations on the new home.
Eric, I'll be transparent. It's been 10 days since your last post, and I was getting concerned that something happened. Very glad to hear all is well. Keep up the hard work. I'm sure your dad appreciates the opportunity to get away. House is coming along nicely. You might want to consider doubling the number of lights on your porch. Take care.
Great video Eric! You've got some good help there with Andrew, and Fonzi and Megan have always been awesome. Appreciate your Dad's faithful works. House is impressive! Thanks for the vid!
Hey man, I have been watching your video's for a couple of years now and I truly love watching you work and grow. You and your family run a beautiful farm and work hard to keep it that way. Keep up the good work. Love the videos. ;-)
The house is coming along really well, you have done a good job training your brother in law to be with things around the farm. I know you all enjoy having that second set of hands helping out. Great video as always.
A house big enough for a few more children. You are really fortunate to have an Andrew who is so handy. Looking forward to a little bit of family wedding video.
Eric how is the house coming along ?Wow love the color of the house and how the how the house is set looking good.We have Amish and Menonite people we pay them to build and wire barns and houses and cement pay them for the labor We bought all the stuff they build it. And usually give them 2 calf’s and 2 hogs an 5 chickens along with the money we payed. They get the job done . And they come back to check and see how it’s going and look the barn or house over once more. If something is not right they will get it right.
Me and my son,5, have watched you and every video for the past 3 years. It is part of our night time ritual to watch you take care of the cows. God bless you and your family. ❤
Wow, your house is progressing nicely. I was surprised at the time of year you broke ground, but it seems like you have had some favorable weather for building. Love watching your videos.
Great video with great content. Your new house is coming along very well. Yea, the initial framing and enclosing the house goes pretty fast if all items show up and are not on back order or tied up with the "supply chain issues". Now things will start to seem like they slow down because you are getting into the "detail stuff" which takes lots of time. Looking good. The cows seem to be doing well and they are fun to watch when they are frisky and kick up their heels.
Very good. Nice to see Andrew around. He is marrying into a fine family. God bless him and his plans. Great to see how the house is coming together. Wonder what you type of heat you have chosen for your new home...
Awesome channel. The only one I watch without fail. I like the fact that you don’t ramble on about unrelated topics. You are clear and to the point on your work. Initially I figured it would just be the same stuff over and over (feed cows, milk cows, clean up poop, etc. great job of mixing it up. The new barn and your new house were neat side stories that keep your channel fresh. Keep up the videos for as long as you can and I’ll be here waiting to watch.
Keep it going with the house, love the updates. Andrew's doing good, probably learning a lot. Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing, have a great week.
I've been watching since you started and it's so great to see how everything has grown. The farm, the channel, YOU. You don't look so much like a high schooler doing chores before school 😆 And best of all, even with all that growth the videos are just as good. Not tons of sponsorships, no click bait titles. Good for you!!!! And thank you!!
I was just thinking I hadn't see you post for awhile and was hoping everyone is well and things are going okay. Nice progress on the house and working hard as always.
My wife of 52 years and I watch your videos on our smart tv and are impressed by your operation. Watching the house being built is an added bonus. Thanks for what you do, it’s been 65 years since I helped my grandfather milk and we shipped in cans, hard work to say the least.
Nice to see you and your future brother in law working together. Hope your Dad is enjoying some rest away from the farm and he can be sure it is in good hands. Started working as an electrician when I was 15 years old. Seemed really complicated but in time experience makes it easy to understand. House is looking great. Like the siding color, blends with the earth. thansk till next time.
One of the joys of this old child of God is watching His wonderful blessings to His children. It will be no match for your mansion in heaven, but what a beautiful home you’re going to have for your family right now.
Great, they went with larger posts in front of the house. I'm sure they needed them structurally, but they also make the house look much better. It gives the house a nice solid look.
How deep can your heifer barn pack get before making it difficult to move the gates? If you could raise the gates so they could pass over 1.5'-2' of material, then a compost bedded pack could be a good option for that barn, like you tried it in the special needs barn. Since you can't use the fans during the cold months, rototilling it would help get excess moisture out and reduce your need for bedding. Great work with everything!
I was an industrial automation electrician for 23yrs before I became a dairy farmer. To me dairy farming is so much more complex! Love the videos. So many great comments too👍
House looks good! I though it looked small (although, I'm in the UK so compared to ours its huge!) but seeing the insides more done it actually looks really nice! Totally envious of the porch overlooking the sunset!
Good to see two farm boys at work. I guess you were happy to have Andrew there helping while your dad was away. He’s a great asset & quick study. Your dad is so fortunate that he can leave for a week knowing the farm is in good & trusted hands. House looking fantastic Eric. Soon will be a home.
Morning Eric from Australia. Always a good day to see a new video from your farm, congrats on the new house and as always the farm being as well run as ever.
Hiya, Like @Buster QHorse I was an electrician for many years. We always wrote on the sleeve of the cable what circuit it was, so there was a minimal complication. Every house was basically the same. This many socket outlet circuits, that many auxiliary circuits, like HVAC, This many lighting cct. Then just wire them into the breaker box in order. Just logic and how you always did it. Now farming, how much seed per acre, how much of this additive, well, I could go on, but you know what I'm saying. Each to his own. But God Bless farmers for giving us the food we need to give us the strength to go to work. Your home is looking good. God Bless you and your extended family. Stay safe, Steve...
House is moving along really good. Speaking of moving along I don’t know who that guy was when you were moving those two cows but he had the moves of a good Border Collie. Down low and go!
It's always fun to see those heifers jump around in new bedding - it's like they hit the lottery. Ha Ha.... It tells me the calves are feeling good and that is great during this time of year. Great Job and thanks for sharing.
It is great when someone Marrying into the family is frim a farm family and the fact that he comes and helps out is a bonus and the fact that you guys get along is great. House is looking good. One thing you should do is walk through the house like you are turning lights on and off wish I could have done that in our house because I would add a couple switches like our living room they have 2 way switch but when you come in from Garage/ kitchen area you have tonwalk all the way across the living room to turn lights on also where the head of your bed is put switches on both sides of the bed to swich on a plugin to turn on a lamp for going to bathroom or just getting up in the middle of the night and not tripping on things on the floor. Also just wondering the Calf feed you picked up is it special formula for your farm or just a general calf feed?
Wish I had your youth and work ethic ! You make me tired just watching your videos ! Keep up the great work ! Watching from St Thomas Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 !
