It's unfortunate he had a terrible knee injury after this but before Olympics 2010. I presume after the injury he had to loose his body weight so that his knee could cope. Look at how much slimmer he became in 2010 and after. That probably also meant he had to relearn his jumps in different ways. Still he stuck with the sport, won a bronze medal in that Olympics (first ever for Japanese men), gold in World Championship shortly after (first ever for Japanese men), and kept skating all the way to Olympic 2014. Legend!
does anybody else think that his LP this year is kind of boring? i mean, he's packing on the content, but its just not doing it for me. and he gets so sloppy towards the end.
