Daisy model 753s single stroke pneumatic .177 target rifle initial review wow really nice! 

We use the Daisy 953 rifles at church camp. We have had them for over 10 years. I have my own 953 and I just put a Daisy peep sight on the rear.

I saw Alaska Airgun shoot one the other day. Even though this is on the high end of my price range, I ordered one on a hunch. Watched your video to get further info; can’t wait for it get here!

the daisy 880 vs the 753s

I missed the chance to get one from the hardware store 😢 It was much more like the 880, not a target model. However seeing this, i wish I'd gotten it! Its scary when weather moves in while working on a roof😮 Glad it turned out well! ❤

Nice air gun ! I have a 653 single stroke. (I think) That shoots great and super pumping can add almost a hundred fps.

Fun little target rifle 👍. I have a question, I just bought an HW50s and I'm planning to put scope on it. Have you had any issues with the scope moving because of the recoil? Does in need special scope mount?

What size is the rail? Is it an 11mm dovetail?

Hi Nibs, my name is Lawrence and we have some things in common. I am a retired pastor and very active in the church I now attend, and I also enjoy airguns. I have an 853c I bought from the CMP. Check out their recycle program - mine was only $100 a few years ago. I also have a Crosman Optimus .22 that I want to mount a peep sight on. I have the small cheap Daisy peep and the problem is that the body of the sight extends below the dovetail mounts leaving only a few inches of the dovetails to reach the groves in the power plant. I think it would work if I took the end cap off of the rifle, but it won't budge. Do I have to remove the trigger bolt and pin to get it off? Nibbs, have you shot thst 753 for accuracy.with those RWS HyperMax pellets? If they do well, that Daisy should be a rather dandy pest gun for sparrows, starlings, chipmunks, etc. Might even be ok for close range red squirrels....ive certainly dispatched them with comparable or less power; my old Crosman 357 accounted for my best shot ever on game, and Crosman 1077 was quite a red squirrel terror itself within twenty yards 👍 This was about twenty years ago when i still had faith in Crosman....sadly, thst is no longer the case....
