That's a kazoo. I'm surprised an excellent musician like Daisy doesn't know what it is. All you do is sing into the end, and the sound gets filtered through a vibrating piece of paper to create a buzz effect on your voice. Back in the day, you could achieve something similar with a comb and paper. It's good fun alright - you can easily liven up Xmas dinner by giving all of your guests a kazoo! [they're really cheap - and everyone can 'play' one - because it's just singing]
