Daisy Zamora reads "Ser Mujer / To Be a Woman" from The Violent Foam, first in the original Spanish then in the translation by George Evans, on October 4, 2018, at The Poetry Center, San Francisco State University. The full program, the first of two public events in Tatiana Luboviski-Acosta's week as The Poetry Center's Fall 2018 Mazza Writer in Residence, includes Zamora's full reading, preceded by a reading by Luboviski-Acosta, and followed by a conversation between the poets and with their audience.
