Gods honest truth, I don't think they come down much in price. I personally prefer the shimano x aero 4000 for anything speci related. They just work perfectly. Spools are generous. And you get two metal cnc turned spools for roughly 150 quid. And there are miles more versatile. That's just my opinion
The reels great. And your rite the dogs adorable . We are taking the dogs training seriously now. No more hair eating n chewing my shoes. She,s doing great. I am out fishing Sunday. Thinking of a day filming on the waggler or maybe filming an in depth look at the john wilson avon rods. What would you like too see???
Is that your Rishton kit? I've given up trying to get the old Shimano's second hand, their always in need of a service and the prices are ridicules on eBay these days, people will bid upto 100 for a reel that will most likely need a full service, as beautiful and they really are a breed apart I've decided to stick to new technology. Will a 12 foot ninja with a 5000 reel do the job on Rishton Gary?
No I don't fish, Rishton. Its not a water I enjoy fishing . I got that reel for esthwaite but to be honest I like my garbolino reels n struggle to swap it over. And I us3 14 ft rods on esthwaite. The super x aero gems are jap imports there better than anything else at 100 quid.. I jave just got two aero x 4000 baitrunners and they are good but to be honest there's just ornaments. Rishtons one of them waters that club members would love to come right but if you want a good day on bream go esthwaite. Youle sack up on a six foot rod and a ryobi lxo2 n bag of corn 🌽
@@garywilliamsandmitsy I've had a few of the Japanese aeros, a stradic, couple of super GT's but that fighting drags always goosed on the ones I've had, I got lucky with a brand new spirex RD , not Japanese though, it's the auto cast model more for the American spinning market, I use it for waggler and pellet fishing, the fighting drags are great when they're working. I've not been able to get out for a while, I fractured my foot six months ago.
Try n get out find a venue you can walk a short distance. It's been realy nice out in fresh air. Itle make everything feel great n recharge the batteries
I own hundreds of reals and I havn,t even spooled it. Still using my garbollinos which to be honest do what I need and have enough cranking power and big spools to take enough 0.1 braid for the distances I need. Although everything else is old and new x aero,s . I leave reels in box,s I will never use and sell once I retire
