If it's out of budget, check out the crosscast 45 scw 5000 qd reel which is almost half the price and can be had for under 100 in places, both beautiful reels but after playing with both, I can't justify the much higher price of the whisker over the crosscast other than extra spool and cosmetics , both cast and play fish awesomely
Bonkers you change one thing with this reel and added a extra £80 on them you could pick up the original 45 scw reel for 180 brand new when came out so why this reel so expensive compared to last one?
Hi Allen, thanks for your question. We have a number of reels featuring our SCW tech all at varying price points depending on the materials and other technology used in constructing the reel. Just an extra ball bearing, folding handle and some colouring and all this for 80 quid? I don't see the point. Better get Emcast 45, add ball bearings and you will end up with powerful reel
