I would love to race in this ..i had a 1990 dodge van and a 2000 ram van...both driven like cars and they feel like it too...great motors and build ...
Growing up in the northeast, I only knew these things as rust buckets that were already clapped out by the mid 2000s and usually driven by fat people. This is amazing, and I'm massively intrigued how they were able to squeeze performance out of these thicc bois
𝓐𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓸𝓽𝓱𝓾𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻𝓴𝓪𝓽 If I remember, its because whatever gearboxes they use go through Neutral between gears. 1-N-2-N-3 etc when changing up and down, so if they use the column shifter as they pull it out of "3" and down into "2" the 'box is in Neutral which lets them blip the throttle.
@@tomjackson1045 those are gonna be either a500 or a518 transmissions(same workings as the old a904/a727 respectively) they are PRNDL. you can shift up and down the gears manually if you want. all the way down is first, next up is 2nd, D is 3rd. O/D is electronically activated. doesnt matter where you downshift, but the transmissions governor will not let you downshift if you are going too fast. dude just knows his trans.
I had a rusty 94 Dodge van. Too bad I couldn't have improved it more, before letting it go. Would've loved to tweak the 3.9 V6 that was in it. Was a decent driver for 5 years.
gonna be a 318 with how rev happy it seems. if you dont think a 318 will run, better not mess with any 318 cars/trucks. the 5.9 in this same van only made like 10hp/30tq more.
They have pretty obviously taken the original engine out and replaced it with an insanely rev-happy 4 cylinder. If you think a cross plane V8 makes the sound this van is making, well...you're wrong.
I got 2000 ram van I'm gonna camper out with window ac, fridge, solar, etc... would like to go from the 5.2 in it to modified 5.9 someday but no hurry on that part. subscribe to my page for upcoming vids to show up on hour page
