I love your humor and video style. You could make a review about potato salad entertaining. I hope you are going to do more review videos, your humor and presentation is just unique that I binge watch these videos of yours from time to time on. :) And only less than 10 days until Ride 5 comes out. :)
Thank you so much Vixen1525! :D I really appreciate it, and yeah of course! I've been wanting to branch out too - do some retrospectives and what not. There is def. more to come! And you know, maybe I will review some Potato Salad.
I love this game. And to my surprise, being a car guy, I think the bike is the most enjoyable way to play it. Honestly I can't understand people who complain that it's too hard to navigate, I mean, that's what Dakar is all about! Dakar is not as popular as F1, or Nascar, so I think they made a big mistake trying to appeal to everyone by making a super arcade mode. People who go after a Dakar know what to expect. Riding mostly alone on an empty desert. It's a great game but it leaves a feeling of a wasted potential. Btw, great channel, keep the good work!
Back in the 80's and 90's I saw a lot of talk about Dakar around me but come 2000 F1 definitely put more effort into appealing to wider audience and here we are. I still meet Dakar fans here and there but never among young people. Maybe if they held a race in Monaco...
Free next week on Epic Games. As a Dakar fanboiiii I am happy to see this. Good review. Unless the game sucks arse, then it's a very rose tinted glasses review. We'll know tomorrow.
Regarding DLC: "and they have plans to do the same with Dakar" NO, they don't. They plan on release the contact on the roadmap all at once as is legally required, then the game will be abaondonware, like D18. There are no year passes for this failure.
@@DylonND ya in March they announced they would release the rest of the DLC all in one go, and would have an announcement about it in the summer. it's now October with no news whatsoever. maybe they just meant southern hemisphere summer? oh, also between Africa and Arabia, Dakar was held in South America for several years. the other Dakar game was set there.
So this is just a theory but after getting a feel for this game... I believe that when a vehicle loses traction, it engages a separate physics algorithm that is purposely made to make the vehicle unrecoverable. I think it's because the devs didn't have any actual impressive physics to show off, so they did this as a last ditch effort to give the game "feel". Allegedly! That's just what it seemed like to me.
I guess for me it really depended on the vehicle I was in, the rear wheel drive ones are toooughhh! That's why I liked the like weight of the Mitsubishi
Offline tarkov joke made me genuinely laugh out loud. Good to see a no bollocks review for this game, been itching to get it for a while but the steam "reviews" always stopped me actually pulling the trigger.
I got this when it was free just recently. Unfortunately, it's awkward when using a wheel and pedals. I think I may try using my Xbox controller instead.
I would use the controller for this one. Just pull back on the stick where you adjust the weight of the rider under acceleration and it'll go up. (that's what she said)
Game is really Bad, not made for you to enjoy ride.. vehicles start spin for no reasone even in 2024! i got it for free played for one hour well i tried play but its really Bad to control it...
@@DylonND Baja: Edge of Control was a great game, super impressive for the time with multiple large open worlds that the races take place in. I had it on the Xbox 360.
@@DylonND I've been meaning to look into Xenia. Thanks for the (unintentional) reminder! Though it is worth noting that there was an "HD" version of Baja released for PC a few years ago. I haven't seen it myself, but as far as I can tell it's identical to the original except for UI and graphics.
