Members of my own family (Caribbean’s from Dominica and Jamaica) don’t want to believe they were once enslaved! They (Dominicans) tend to look down on Haitians, though they share the same island of Hispaniola. The Haitians overthrew the Spaniards and/or the French and secured freedom for both.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard you plan and how much you pay wardrobe malfunctions always happen, especially when we want to wear things that aren’t the usual garments or fits, they’re more delicate and can break easier. 🫠
