An animation I created for We Are Water MN. It is narrated by Jim Rock, UMD Alworth Planetarium Program Director and Dakota Astronomer as he shares his traditional knowledge of the connections with sky and earth. He also speaks of the burial mounds and sacred Wakan Tipi cave in Saint Paul, Minnesota, which speak to our celestial origins.

Thank you so much for creating and sharing this. I am so thankful to know about the cotton wood trees. My relatives have forgotten or did not have anyone to tell them. 😥 Touching and beautiful work!!

Very Inspiring and illuminating. I did not know all this when I came to Bear Butte 20 years ago for a vision quest, but happened to see a woman reading about Lakota Star knowledge and always wanted to read it. Now 20 years later so much more is revealed.

A’HO JIM ROCK 👽❤ The 7 Star Fire Nations remind me of the story of Orion’s Belt (3 Kings) and the 7 Sisters of Pleiades. I feel a strong soul connection to all Native Americans, but especially the Mayans, Hopi, and SIOUX NATION. Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse, Red Cloud, and Golden Light Eagle aka Standing Elk. A'ho comes from the Kiowa word aho “thank you”. It spread in usage by the Native American Church ceremonies, and from use at Pow Wows. It's use these days it is used for “I agree”, “Amen”, “Namaste”, and “Yes.”
