Tribute video I made in 2001 shortly after the death of one of my childhood heroes, Dale Earnhardt. Images courtesy of Google Song: The Dance - Garth Brooks
Dale Earnhardt was NASCAR. Ever since he passed the sport is not the same and I don't think it ever will be. I would love to see the sport go back to the way it was with forty or fourty three drivers doing 200 400 or 500 laps NASCAR has changed so much they have taken the excitement of the sport away.
I miss Dale. And Nascar died when he did. I'm just going to say it, Nascar has went downhill ever since. Its amazing how much input and influence he had on the sport. He would be ashamed of where it is today.
I think he's up in heaven racing along side Alan Kulwicki, Davey Allison, Ayrton Senna, and Colin McRae. He's the reason why my Dad got into NASCAR so to that I say thank you, Dale for giving him good memories and also giving us Junior. I always choose him as my driver in NASCAR The Game: Inside Line and NASCAR '14. RIP The Intimidator😞
@ 1:24 whenever that fella said he hopes no one ever sits in that car again, I completely agree. Props to Dillon but he slid his foot in a boot that, quite frankly, can't be filled not just by him...but ANYONE.
After his death, it was said that it was probably the only event in history that made millions of grown men cry. I was one of them. Since then I have lost my desire to watch Nascar races. He was larger than life. RIP Dale.
he was a super star and good it race cars and his had gave us his son Dale Earhardt jr and the boy made his own inc to like his dad own now, and both his kids were now doing it like them daddy doing it now, Dale Earnhardt jr now run it now,
He was my favorite driver and he was the best driver in my time and no one is going replace him. Racing is not the same without him and his black number 3.
Very faithful fans .... Damn straight still am and will always be. I've lost a lot of people near and far and I honestly broke down that day at 18yrs old and can't forget that day

I always have been a big Dale Earnhardt fan. I used to go to race pools every weekendand I was the only one out of the whole crowd that pulled for Dale Earnhardt everybody used to rag on me about how he would cheat driving but to me and he was magic on the asphalt but when he died at Daytona and we lost the great one everyone that was in that race full call me up. And told me how sorry they were for me because I was a big Dale Earnhardt fan and still am. Rest in peace and Godspeed Dale Earnhardt
I remember the race he flipped the car and climbed out and looked at Nacar Officals and said does it still run and they were about to tow it to the garage area. They said yes it still runs and climbed back into the car and drove it back to pit road and they fixed it up for him to race and finished it. Can't remember the track but i do believe it was at Daga and dont remember where he finished
