I liked how Dale made those shelves for canned goods, he's right it does open up the space.

Dale shows how you can make the most of whatever you have or find. I liked his open spacious feeling home. Like a couple of other men RV'rs he has seen the advantage of utilizing the sturdy steel tool boxes. He made the comment that he didn't have the creativity talent like his mother, but I beg to differ, I think his home shows a lot of creativity. Thank you for sharing.

Dammit Dale, now you break out the good ideas... :) I really appreciate the ides for the shelves vs cabinets. Tell Grandma we said Hi! She obviously holds a special place in your heart and I think some of her creativeness did rub off on you, nice build!

Love the ready made shower stall, woo hoo!! Never knew you could do that. Beats the pricey RV store versions. Also love the artwork from his mom, what lovely ways to keep feathers! The simplicity of his design shows a zen mind for what is necessary and no extra junk. The lack of overhead cabinets does give a very roomy feel, which is lovely. A home must be lovely and inviting and cozy and Dale has done just that. All that is missing is a wood stove and a dog next to it!

Well done! While I cannot see designing a van this way, he made excellent use and placement of all the random things acquired to build it. Nothing wasted. Economical. Everything seems to work well together. No need to buy a $3000 rv appliance when a $100 item does the job just fine. Great job Dale !

This is my favorite one ever. It’s so real. So down to earth. He’s just bought stuff. Not had it all custom made. I adore it. Homey. And not wasteful hanging new stuff built. Bravo.

Great setup he has .I like the shelf ideas .I have been struggling with storage ideas in my box truck .I like the open easy access of the shelves. I found the standard size plastic Plano ammo boxes to be very usefull .They hold all kinds of items like small tools , vitamins , shave gear and they stack and have a handle so I just grab a box which I have all labeled and get things I need .They are good for on the road also for a few things I need in the cab.

There is a reason for that. Those burners are at 60,000 BTU instead of 5000 - 9000 BTU typical for RVs. Not meant for indoors they are too hot and can burn your van down.

I like how he put a doorway to the cab. It will make it easier to get to the driver's section or living area, without having to climb in and out of the van. This man thought of everything. 🙂

This is perfect and very well done and I really like that you can go from the cab right into the back and it's roomy but the fridge seems like it would be alot of weight that's unnecessary but if it's OK then he's got plenty of room and has everything you need to live full-time.

Reviewing June 14th 2019. It never ceases to amaze me, on these homemade builds for camping and permanent living. This gentleman has put a lot of thought into his little home. It's quite functional. Mr Hahn, I live in LA as well, Long Beach but ya man those trailers will get you out there camping. Its a great thing, you should continue along that path of camping its a great experience for everyone, some of my best memories with friends and family are camping, they are irreplaceable.
