This coffee has so many names; Dalgona Coffee, frothy coffee, whipped Coffee, cloud Coffee, magic coffee and more. No matter how you call it, this cold coffee is AMAZING! This coffee has been viral in Korea during quarantine time, then it got viral on TikTok and now it is very trendy all over the internet.
Dalgona Coffee is a cold latte drink that comes with a velvety smooth and sweet coffee foam on top. The combination of cold milk and the bittersweet coffee is absolutely delicious. Dalgona coffee is inspired by the South Korean dalgona candy, a toffee sponge that resembles the creamy dollop that tops the ice coffee.

This recipe makes 2 medium servings
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons Instant coffee
2 tablespoons Sugar
2 tablespoons Hot water
1/2 cup (120ml) Milk of your choice
2-3 Ice cubes
Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl place coffee, sugar and hot water (1:1:1 ratio).
2. Using a hand mixer or electric mixer, whisk until thick and creamy.
3. Fill only 3/4 of a cup with cold milk and add ice cubes.
4. Top it up with foamy whipped coffee. Mix well before drink. Enjoy!
Notes:
• Do I have to use sugar? The sugar helps the coffee whip to a fluffy and stable texture that holds its shape for a while. You can reduce sugar amount, but I’m not sure it will be so fluffy. If you’re really sensitive to sugar, you can reduce it down, just know that your coffee won’t be as fluffy.
• What kind of milk to use: You can use cow’s milk, dairy free milk such as almond milk, oat milk or any other kind of milk that you prefer.
• Can I make Dalgona coffee without electric mixer? Yes, you can whip the coffee using a regular whisk, it may take a little bit more time, but it absolutely possible.

Tips: If you don't have a hand mixer, I found 3 other things that work well! 1. If you have a blender cup (ya know, the ones with a ball inside for protein shakes), you can use that and shake it up for a couple minutes, it's pretty easy. 2. You can also put the mixture in a blender and it will get creamy 3. You can also shake it in a container, but it will take a little longer

Ok, i tried it by hand whisking the first time, just to see if the tales were true. Thank goodness they make prosthetic arms now! So..um..here's my coffee recipe: Get a glass (or two) Add 3 teaspoons of cocoa (or the chocolate for your hot chocolate) Add hot water Add some milk (till almost half the cup fills up) Make some ground coffee (or already prepared ground coffee) Wait for it to cool down Pour the ground coffee into the cup Add ice to your glass If you want it to be more sweet,add some sugar. We've been drinking this coffee in Greece since the 60's! We call it "ness", if its warm in the winter, and "frappe" the cold version in the summer. Quarantine time is really making people lazy and stupid, they make things sound like they just invented them! 😂😂

when you do it manually, put less water to make it faster. The trick is gradually adding sugar to wet coffee. Sugar will instantly make it harder to whisk with less water. Add more after the sugar in the container gets dissolved. This way, you'll also use less sugar, if you're concerned about that. We used to have 15minute breaks at work and it would usually be enough time to make, vigorously whisk between chatting, and enjoy a good cup of hot coffee around the lobby table. When you use hot milk or water, just dump it fast over the mix. You can mix in the cup itself.
