Great review. I really dig your review style. Informative and entertaining, and you don’t take yourself too seriously. I have happily adopted your concept of having multiple bookshelf speakers to give myself, well, options! It’s called FREEDOM of choice in these divided U S of A. I must also commend your camera work and editing as well. The channel has a good vibe to it. That room of yours looks like a great place to enjoy a bourbon and listen to some great music. Keep the content coming!
I have a very modest setup at home. An upgraded Debut Carbon and a Marantz NR1200. I paired it with a pair of these speakers and am well happy with it. Can highly recommend.
Try em on some Stands left and right from your Desk. Youll be surprised by the Soundstage. Made a huge difference in my case due to their cabinet resonance.
Thank you, Sir, for this timeous review. I have been intrigued by Dali speakers for a while, but I have been told the Spector won't compete with my SVS Ultras, but your review gives me pause to further review. I am considering the Menuet model. I think they look great when compared with contemporary speakers today. Your time and effort sharing this experience with us all is much appreciated. Stay well, my friend.
Jay’s Iyagi reviewed the Closer Acoustics OGY speakers and says that they’re better than the Dali Menuet and KEF LS50 Meta. I have them, and I’m so bummed that there aren’t more reviews online. They deserve more attention. The build quality is in a different league.
I've never heard SVS. For awhile, I heard them on Howard Stern, so I really didn't take them that seriously. But now, I know from all the super positive reviews, that they are a force to be reckoned with. Thanks for your time in commenting, Simon!
@@user-xg6zz8qs3qI'd like to check those out. Many reviewers can only report on the gear certain manufacturers send out. I'm at a level with my new channel, where I can't even get that. I rely on the generosity of a local hifi store, and my own gear collection! Thanks for watching, and enjoy the hell out of your system!!!
Great review. I agree with you on your earlier statement . I think the old school look is coming back in a big way. Klipsch, KLH, the Lintons just to name a few.
I've heard about these but i never knew they were so small. The small size is what I like the most about my Micca RB42s. These sound like they'd be a nice upgrade.
@@UnitedStatesofAnalogcan you make one video on songs which we supposed to play to check the speakers, based on sound stage, voice, trebles, instrument separation. I'm expecting you to do it. Need to explore more music which are supposed to be listen through great setup 😊
While I'd love to get SVS, Klipsch and Emotiva, in Europe they're kinda hard to get. Whereas DALI, Cambridge Audio, Q Acoustic and Wharfedale are local fellas. These Spektor 2s look really cool.
I own a pair of these, black color. I used to have a different model from dali (spektor 1). The spektor have a slightly lower sensitivity but the bass and mid-range are better and the high frequencies are not as bright, yet quite revealing. That using the same music system from Denon and even better with a new marantz i got.
I’ve had these for about a year and yes, they are amazing ! I’m just waiting for a pair of Revel M16’s to be delivered which I got at a knock down price, but they’re gonna have to be good to beat these Dalis
Thanks, good review. Didn't have these on my radar before picking up a pair of B&W 607 last month for $399 at Accessories4less. Now I'll be wondering if I made the right choice. But isn't that what we do? Love to see a comparison
Always thought the design esthetic of DALI as superb. Only reason I got some Elacs for my downtown office was I couldn't get past the 85 dB sensitivity.
I have dali spektor 2, and old amplifier pioneer a502r. If i change amplifier, suggest me an amplifier that will be compatible with dali spektor 2,i want more bass. Thanks
I had just gotten back from a commercial shoot before I recorded this! Let's see if this helps my view count! I'll go full suit next time! Maybe that will be my thing! Thanks for watching!
I have a near field 2.1 system in a small room. And require small speakers. I have been searching since May for replacements for my Dali Spektor 1's. I've tried NHT Super Zeros, Micca RB42 reference, Wharfedale Denton 80's, KEF Q150's, Polk R100's, Q Audio 5010's and have almost settled on Monitor Audio Radius 90's. My point is the Dali Spektor 1's are almost impossible to beat when you factor in the cost and size. I am going to try the Dali Optikon 1 Mk 2's. Thats quite a leap in price, however. But I'm in pretty deep as it is. /../,
I really really love the Q Acoustics 2020. It might be a wash with the Dali Spector 2. Further, Elipson just released the Horus 6B and they look promising.
I wanna live in Europe! Sometimes, pricing is reversed on some things, and their cheaper here! I guess we all need to be smart shoppers! Thanks for giving me a watch!
