You're right, 22 years of this garbage, and no end in sight. Other Cowboys fans tell me that the only way this is going to get fixed, is if Jerry retires of old age. Whenever that is. If it wasn't for Jimmy Johnson, the Super Bowl drought would be a lot longer than just 22 years. I miss the glory years, back in the early nineties when the Cowboys will show up and just dominate. Jerry Jones is throwing games for money and has made a deal not to win for an unknown number of years. I wanna let everyone in on a secret. I was in sports journalism when JG was a backup qb for the Dallas Cowboys. This was circa 1998. JG was friends with my boss, as JG used to spend his summers here growing up. JG told my boss that Cowboys fans were in for a long period of doom because Jerry had assumed so much control and had no idea what he was doing. On the record, JG simply spewed the party line to me, but off the record, to a friend who he trusted, he spoke the truth about JJ. At the time I did not believe it and was upset. But 20 years have taught me he was right.

The cowboys will always be in disarray because Jerry Jones egotistical personality constantly creates drama and distractions for the locker room. Jerry Jones should step down as owner but he won’t because his ego won’t allow it. Until they get a new owner, it’s hard to foresee the Cowboys winning another Super Bowl.
