I don't necessarily agree with you on this. There are people that the LORD has hidden and will bring them out with a greater anointing. I just see that in this present day there are many people who have little substance to their music.

My name is James Williams and I am a former member of DFW Mass and yes I was in the choir on the night that we recorded Another Chance. Kirk was still in his twenties when he wrote and recorded this song for DFW Mass. If you just scan the choir and you see some of the members of Kirk Franklin & the family that were a part of DFW Mass. Dalon Collins Cassandra Cleveland, Carrie Young Davis( also affectionately know as moussie.) Also Sheila Brice (mother) was not able to on this recording do to giving birth. This actual recording took place almost 30 years ago. Yes indeed it is still HOLY GHOST STRONG. It has always been on of my favorites. It stood out to me as a young girl.

Churches need to bring this back. I'm telling y'all as a child songs like this blessed me and I used to sing in the choir. Bring this back for the young people because trust me it will reach them. My daughter is 18 and enjoy songs like this.

I listened to and loved how DFWMC ministered through this song. Incredible. However, I’ve got a slightly different take on how the comparison/contrast between then and now. Sometimes we, who grew up in at particular time, tend to prefer and romanticize the sound of that generation. Every generation has plus and minuses. Moreover, music always evolves, and sometimes it’s neither better nor worse. Just different!

I understand...During my Ministerial Training, this is one placed before me whenever I fell short. My Dad would just tell me to put it on and go to the Lord in prayer. 10 years later I still have that hard time keeping it together anytime I hear this. Be encouraged.
