Luka is the reason I became a fan of basketball again, Kyrie was a bonus. I love both these guys. For me, the Mavs made basketball exciting again. I can't wait for the new season!

Every normal Mavs fan is happy with the west titile and finals performance. Kyrie and Luka are a great fit, and Kyrie became a great human. Luka is 25, there will be more chances. Absolutely criminal that Dante Exum got so under-utilised this entire series. He should've been starting and playing 25 minutes minimum each game. He was objectively better than PJ, DJJ, Kleber, THJ, Hardy but hardly saw the floor

Mavs didn’t choke… Boston would have beat the brakes off literally any team

Besides the CELTICS DOMINATING DEFENSE, the Mavs rely WAYYYYY to much on ISOLATION. Why not have Kyrie, push the ball up court once in a while. That would take off some of the pressure off Luka. Also, wayyy to much ISO with Luka dribbling and everyone else on Dallas becoming a fan/spectator. Like another comment mentioned in this chat if anyone misses a 3pt shot it's basically a turnover because NO ONE on Dallas is anywhere near position to get offensive rebounds. Luka is a LIABILITY on DEFENSE and that will always be his achilles heal no matter how many points you score. A better defense will ALWAYS trump a good offense.

Lol. Idk what the criticism about. This team came together at the trade deadline and they are just together for just half season. This is already an over achievement. Ik Kyrie didn’t play well enough and Luka wasn’t at his best in the Finals but come on guys. Give Celtics credit. They are the best team and they have 5 guys can defense. The mavs weren't supposed to make to the finals this year and they did. They're 1or 2 pieces away from winning it all. It may just take some of the younger guys developing.

I do love how after game 4 people thought the mavs were gonna come back and win it. Celtics were doubted unrealistically all season.

They just need more shooters that can create their own shots, get some weight off Luka's and Kai's shoulders, I feel like DJJ would be better off the bench and they need to address the Kleber and THJ situation, trade them for some better role players. Also, Lively as a starter next season is a no brainer

Somebody HAS to be able to tell Luka(without getting fired) to stop shooting 3’s. Shoot them if they’re open or if there’s no other option. But when you have a whole shot clock & you chuck up a step back 3, man. Luka can get into the paint AT WILL. Nobody can stop his little floater, turn around jumper down there. Idk why he doesn’t just attack the paint every time as a first option.

Ive never seen a team just lay down in the finals. Jacking up 3s, playing no defense. This was horrible. Kyrie ruined his legacy. Luka was pouting and set a horrible tone

Washington, Jones and Gafford and Lively all need to practice their offense in the off season. If they can be more consistent on offense than they'll win it next year. Look at game 4, that was Dallas at their best. They weren't even supposed to be here, so they should be proud plus they got this experience under their belt which is huge!

Good observation. Celts noticed Mavs can play team ball well but not iso man to man. Took em out besides other factors.

As a mavs fan, I couldn’t be more proud of this team. Everyone doubted them, underdogs in every series, making moves at the trade dl, and yet they still kept fighting. The Celtics were the better and more complete team, but I think lively will only get better and the mavs will be in the mix again.

I’ll never forget Luka leading the Mavs to the finals on one knee and half a torso. With that said, Mavs still have a lot of room for improvement and will only get better. I’m excited for the future.

Sure, I feel the sting today like the rest of the real fans do, but I'm proud of our group and the ride they took us on this year. In game 4 i thought Wester-Finals Mavs are back. But then - this. It’s just shameful how they performed in this game. The loss is not the problem, the way how they lost is.

Not happy with the loss, but they weren’t supposed to be there. They are still 1-2 pieces away. Need a consistent 6th man, another stretch 4, and possibly another starting SF. Boston was the better team. Hats off to them. It was a total team implosion. But I’m a Dallas native, and still here. We’ll be back.

The worst part about game 5 was the majority of the 3rd quarter when jason kidd didn’t have Lively, Jones or gafford out there. Like what is wrong with you mentally to be down 20 and not have those guys play over 3 minutes of the 3rd quarter

The Celtics literally went at Luka every chance they got: he out there looking like the new James Harden. Yea he will drop 40 a night no problem, step backs shoot in your face, get to his spots. But no defensive effort whatsoever

I am so sad for Luka. Me as Croatian I was watching games on my days of and rooting so hard for that guy. He gave everything, sacrificing his health, bleeding every game and still was not enough. I only hope this fella will be ok for next season. All of those final games just did not feel right. Like it was rigged. No way both Luka and Kyrie had 4 bad games. Something stinks. In any case Mavs went all in with trades and with final push to finals. I doubt this team (as it is now) will ever win a championship. No support for few great players. No stable shooters. I said it before and I'll say it again: you should have left Mavs Luka! Management has zero chance of getting any quality players in next couple of years. And by that time you're health will be gone. Final message to you Luka (if you are reading): don't you dare come to Croatian cost this year, go to the fking swiss alps and train, get a fking condition trainer, cooks, doctors, rehabs specialist on paycheck, fix that health of your man! Luka will never win a championship as long as the Celtics is in the Finals. Bec Kyrie is a certified choker in the Garden and he doesn't even admit it as a problem. And bec the young Mavs look up to Kyrie, they too followed him in choking in the Garden. GAME 1, 2 and specially 5 WERE A SHAME. There's nothing to be proud of in them. Some Kyrie fanatics are also more concern about making him look good than the Mavs winning. Many Mavs fans have been hypnotized by Kyrie they idolize him like in a cult.

As much as the team camaraderie and accountability is there to performing together and being there for each other! The onus! still rests on the superstars! The leaders! To lead the team! The mavs failed at that! This series! They didn't look like superstars! Brown & Tatum fulfilled their roles...as superstars better than their counterparts! Eventhough on paper we were better! Were we the Paper Tigers! We have an off-season to figure....😅
