We all grieve differently. It didn't hit me when my loved ones were taken away until I saw them laying in the casket. I don't remember crying or anything, just some strange emotions coming over me, and then everything went black. Apparently, it had to be escorted by an ambulance because I passed out and hit my head, almost knocking the casket over. I held everything in, trying to be strong, so I am sure that this mom has/will grieve the loss of her children.

I agree 100%. Mom may have grown up in those neighbors so this is all she knows, it's normal to her, but when you have children, you should strive for better. That 19 year old with a gun should've never been in a house with a 6 year old, and her son being 14 should of been at home, doing his homework or studying for PSATs. The odds were never in their favor being born in that environment.

You are absolutely right the environment matters no matter how cheap it is that’s why it’s so important to be able to afford your children so you can put them in at least a decent environment but still even if you can’t like you said you need to be very aware of who your children are around who house if they go to one who comes in your house and what they have yes you need to check other children to see what they have coming into your house. You need to know their parents you need to know what type of lifestyle they live where they work do they make good grades are they on drugs? Are they sexually active?
