Finally, someone who says what speed to use on a nail drill to remove gel polish. I was using it (or trying to) remove with a very low speed but it was of course, doing nothing. I was too scared to up the speed. I’m new to this so really didn’t know. I’ve also been attempting this with a fine drill bit. But now I know what I need to do. Thank you 😊
Also a small tip: Pure acetone cannot dissolve paraffin oil, vaseline and paraffin wax. Which means those are good cheap alternatives to protect the skin when soaking off.
That suit screams “I am the boss” 🙌🏻 I have an anxious habit where I pick off my overlays and it has totally knackered my nails. I have been making a conscious effort to not do it and the damage is growing out slowly but I forgot and accidentally filed too much on the damaged part and omg ouch!! So I’m sticking to soft gel overlays for a while.
I haven't bought any full cover tips because I was waiting for someone to do the removal without filing them off to show a safer way. So thank you for sharing this! Now I'm not so worried about the removal anymore. You're outfit is gorgeous and you make it look even more beautiful. ♥️🤗
Thank you for your excellent tutorials. I'm a nurse by profession, but an amateur home nail tech for nearly 30 yrs(Patients, friends, and family), and your videos have really helped me try new things and products. I agree. Your outfit is so beautiful and flattering. May I ask where you got it? Thank you again for your guidance. 😊
Thank you for making this video! I've been doing soft gel extensions on myself and struggling with removal. I end up causing some damage to my natural nail every time I remove them, and now I know why! I love the tip to apply cream to the skin to protect it from the acetone, that will definitely be helpful.
I really appreciate how well you care for clients skin and nails. Your dry manicure skills are exceptional and with all the nail techs I have been to, they are never this thorough. Also, very pretty outfit you’re wearing,
I’m a total beginner and it’s been taking me well over an hour and a half the last couple of times I’ve removed my soft gel extensions 😅 thank you so much for posting this!
anastasia! you are amazing. thank you so much for providing step by step instructions for safe removal. i absolutely hate HATE acetone and avoid it as much as possible, but your video shows a very approachable and non-threatening way to help remove soft gel, especially for people with sensitive skin. i feel like your videos are for nail technicians, but as an at-home diy beginner, i greatly appreciate the amount of education you provide to your youtube audience. i've hurt and damaged my nails due to lack of education and knowledge, so i love learning from your videos for hopefully healthy future nails! please never stop making videos!
Thank you for these tips! I especially appreciate the one on using the thick cream around the skin before using acetone to remove the gel, as my skin is very sensitive and dry. This is a huge problem for me, so big THANK YOU! 😃
Thank you Anastasia and yes I learned something new. This helps me so much. I'm still learning how to do my nails and your tutorials are so clear and easy for me to learn. I'll be using your method this week. Thank you again for your tutorials 😊❤️💚🖐️.
I always cover the cuticles with Vaseline or neosporin when I soak off these days. I'm just a hobbyists, but your right it does help to have a protectant.
I’m enjoying these videos. I became a gel nail tech in 2003. Stopped doing nails about 3 years ago! But I’m very passionate about nail extensions and decided to order the model ones soft nail kit. I may just start doing nails again!! Thanks for the inspiration!
As someone with incredibly thin nails who also would like nice looking nails I was wanting to do gel nail extensions but all of the removal methods were damaging. That is until I found you. Thank you so much for showing me how that I can have beautiful and healthy. You definitely get a sub from me👍
One of the best tutorials I have watched Ur voice is very clear and.calming. aswell as the way u mentioned how to do this and that was extremely helpful while.being able to visualize and.see what u were doing. Thank u
A nail tech I went to at one time, use to wrap my nails in the foil, then she laid a very warm towel on top and for some reason, the heat helped removed the product even better
I thought that with soaking you would harmed the skin so I always filed them off but not with pleasure because no matter how careful I am I always heard my natural nail but now because of your clear explanation I'm going try to soak them of! Thank you for the video.. 😘🥰
I accidentally bought a big box of HAIR foils. They are used in chemical treatments for hair. Wanted to mention they work VERY well. They are already cut down into smaller shape and the foil is softer than regular cooking foil.
Thank you so much for the tips on the efile part. I have accidentally run over my skin early on with a sanding band at a LOW speed which tore my finger up, so I have been timid about using the efile at anything higher than 9 rpms, but I definitely have noticed those heat spikes. In fact, the heat made me nervous about going any higher in rpms. I really didn't know that a higher speed means quicker removal without an increase in heat, so I am going to get braver and try that.
Omg ur outfit is beautiful! But trying not to get distracted I'm here for nails lol I'm jk.. but I love the flare on your sleeves I love ur outfit so much! But I (personally) could never wear something that beautiful! U really make that outfit gurl!
Do you have a nail glue you recommend? I have the Beetles glue that need curing, but I’m looking for something that dries quicker but won’t damage the natural nail
Really needed this video, bc not enough gel extension tip videos exist! I wonder if it's any different if the DIYer or inexperienced other technician has used too much gel product to adhere the gel extnxn to the nail plate tho? I'd like to see how you handle that problem because I suspect from my own use of gel tips that it makes removal a much longer process.
I read from labmuffinbeautyscience tht adding glycerin to the acetone also did the trick ! Could be quicker and less messy, but i haven't tested it, the skin around my nails doesn't seem to be able to dry out 😂
Hi Anastasia, I would love to know where you get the silicone cleaning brush, I tried to look for such a brush on Ali Express and Amazon and I just can not find anything similar Thanks :)
Very informative! Does this method also work for removing solid nail glue? I always have the hardest time removing solid gel nail glue. Takes me hours to do just one hand and I feel like all of the glue still isn't removed.
I feel like a lot of the damage also can come from taking off the extension at each service, when in reality you can fill soft gel extensions and not have to prep already preped nails
I guess I'm not reading it correctly, but how are the nails already prepped for a fill for the soft gel extensions if they've been on for a week or so? You still have to prep the grown out part.
I need to ask a stupid question. Right now I have clear gel polish on my nails so is it possible to apply ibd gel over the polish if I buff the shine off and apply the base coat or do so need to start over with the ibd?
@@Nailcou thanks for replying 😊 I was confused for a minute when I watched your video. I don't do nail extensions anyways so shouldn't be a problem. But I usually remove my gel nails over natural nails with e file. I believe this is what you show on most of your videos. I'm careful to leave a bit of base coat on, unless uplifted, to protect natural nails Have a good day 😊🌈
Why are you ripping the not fully melted plastic off of her nail and then telling people not to do that? Why are you doing it? It doesn't seem very smart to teach people how to do something correctly and then do it the wrong way in your video
I showed how NOT to do it in order to explain it. Sometimes it may look harmless and doesn't even feel painful, but it's still causing damage to the nail plate
@@Nailcou yes I understand that. You clearly were damaging her nail, as you stated you took "several layers" of her natural nail off when you "demonstrated", which is why I asked why you would do a demonstration that would hurt your client/model??? Seems irresponsible to me
