Haven't quite done a long format video before, but why not right? I thought it might be interesting to show you guys my process in restoring the analog stick on this Xbox 360 Wireless Controller

Very nice and neat way to replacing the missing pads. Quite technical and precise which is neat. Kudos

It's OK, it happens. What can be seen is more than enough to understand what you've done. It was a great work. I'm curious if this is how you fix a drifting stick in the controller. I have one and I was hoping it would be as simple as replacing the rubber the keeps the stick centered. If it involves soldering I'll need a new controller. =(

@@the-patient-987 You can try fixing it by putting some isopropyl alcohol in the potentiometers first, and just moving it around. Chances are they're just dirty inside it, but if that fails to work, then you'd probably have to replace the analog stick. This video just shows repairing the damage from a failed attempt, but in actuality, I've messed around with this kind of repair before, and it takes me no longer than 5-10 minutes to remove and solder back a new analog stick. I generally try not to throw stuff away as I hate being wasteful 😅

@@TechRodent I always try to repurpose before throwing away. But in this case I don't have the tools not the skills. So it will be the isopropyl alcohol or I'll eventually need a new controller. Thank you very much for the tip.
