You forgot to mention that the official name is 'Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu,' with 'and' appearing three times in its official name-a disaster for grammar nazis. 😂😂

Whole Maharashtra, Whole Gujarat and North Karnataka was called Bombay presidency including these UT before breaking down into different states and UT.
@@MM-my6yh you learn history first. DNH was freed from Portuguese in 1954. From 1954 to 1961 it existed as a de facto state known as Dadra and Nagar Haveli and recognised internationally as a part of Portugal. In 1961 Goa, Daman and Diu became a part of India. From 1961 to 1987 Goa, Daman and Diu was a UT and DNH was a seperate UT. In 1987 Goa was granted statehood and DD became a UT. In 2019 DD & DNH was merged to became a single UT. Now coming to Bombay state: Before Independence Bombay Presidency included parts of modern day Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh (just few parts of all the Indian states) Sindh (Pakistan), Aden Province (Yemen) and Socotra (Yemen). All the independent states at that time which were not a part of British Raj such as Baroda, Kolhapur, Dangs etc were not a part of Bombay Presidency. Post independence Bombay Presidency was restructured to Bombay state and Baroda, Kolhapur, Dangs became a part of Bombay Presidency. Bombay state only had Belgaum, Bijapur, Dharwar, North Canara (Karwar) which are now a part of Karnataka and they became a part of Mysore state in 1956. Later in the same year Marathwada (then part of Hyderabad state), Vidarbha (then part of Madhya Pradesh state), Saurashtra and Kutch were merged with Bombay state. It was one of the most bilingual state during this time and was referred to as Maha Dwibhashi Rajya. On 1st May 1960 Bombay state was dissolved with the formation of Gujarat and Maharashtra. A few districts of Hyderabad state and Central Provinces and Berar became a part of Maharashtra. This is the history.
Alcohol ke bohot breweries hai Waha , koi agree nai karega unka tourism hi alcohol based hai , Gujarat join kardia toh unhe nai chalega , alag ho thik hai

@@Bhavyapatel. Just for the sake of one fishing community the developmenr should be stopped ? Damam, Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli have developed into tourust spots and now is the turn of lakshadweep.
You were just drawn wong for Gujarati people..... Thy are not just visit this UT for Liquor. Most of the people of Gujarat's are vegetarian and in our culture we are not usually utilise Liquor for Drink. Although it might be possible that non alcoholic drink can be use by Gujaratis. So don't remark it like drinkers. Because "Pakko Gujarati ena culture ne nahi disrespect krta". 🙏🙏
We call ourselves as free, but imagine the plight of those gujjus who has to travel 100kms just to take a sip of alcoholic without getting prosecuted. Need to abolish this stupid and nonsense dry sate and dry day laws!?
