අපේ කලින් video එකෙන් ඔයාලට මතක ඇති අපි දඹදෙණිය මාලිගා ගල බලන්න ගිය. එම ඉතිහාස කතාවට සම්බන්ද තවත් ස්ථානයකටයි අද යන්නෙ. ඒ තමයි නටඹුන් නොවූ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ එකම දළදා මාලිගාව.
අතීතයේදී ශ්‍රී දළදා වහන්සේ ආරක්ෂා කිරීම සඳහා ඉදි කෙරූ මාලිගා බොහොමයක් අද නටඹුන් වී හමාරයි, ඒත් තවමත් දඹදෙණිය විජයසුන්දරාරාමයේ පිහිටි මෙම මාලිගාව අදටත් දැකගන්න පුළුවන්.
3වන විජයබාහු රජු විසින් දඹදෙණිය ගොඩනැගීමත් සමඟ මෙම දළදා මාලිගාව සෑදීම ආරම්භ කල බව සඳහන් වෙනව. තවද ඔහුගේ පුත් 2වන පරාක්‍රමබහු රජු විසින් මෙය කරවන ලද බවටත් විශ්වාස කරනව.
දඹදෙණිය මෙම මාලිගාව අතීතයේදී මහල් 3කින් සමන්විතව තිබූ බව සඳහන් වෙනව, ඒත් අද අපිට දකින්න ලැබෙන්නෙ මහල් 2ක් පමණයි. අද වනවිට මෙහි උඩුමහලට සාමාන්‍ය ජනයාට පිවිසෙන්න අවස්ථාවක්නම් ලැබෙන්නෙ නැහැ. එයට හේතුව උඩුමහල තරමක් අබලන් වී තිබීමයි.
මෙහි පිටත බිත්තිවල එක් එක් කාලයට අයත් සිත්වම් ස්තර විදිහට මතුකරගෙන තියනවා. මෙයින් මෙහි පැරණි බව මනාව ඔප්පු වෙනව. මෙම මාලිගාව ඉදිරියෙන් වැඩිය දකින්න නොලැබෙන සපුබෝධියක් දකින්න පුළුවන්. මෙය දඹදෙණියට ආවේනික බෝධියක් ලෙසද සැලකෙනව.
මාලිගාවට පසෙකින් ඔයාලට සෑයක් සහිත මණ්ඩපයක් දකින්න පුළුවන්. මෙය එකල සාමාන්‍ය ජනතාවට දළදා වහන්සේ වැඳපුදා ගන්න සකස්කළ ස්ථානයක් ලෙස දැක්වෙනව. තවද හේවිසි මණ්ඩපයක් ලෙසද සැලකෙනව.
ඒ වගේම මෙහි පිටුපසින් කෞතුකාගාරයක් දැකගන්නත් පුළුවන්. ඉතින් ඔයාල කුරුණෑගල අවොත් දරුවන් එක්ක දඹදෙණිය මාලිගාව බලන්න එන්නත් අමතක කරන්න එපා. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ වැළලී ගිය අතීතය ගැන ගොඩක් දේවල් මෙහිදී දැකගන්න පුලුවන්.
You may remember from our previous video that we went to see the Dambadeniya Palace Stone. Today we will go to another place related to that story. It is the only Dalada Maligawa in Sri Lanka that is not in ruins.
Many palaces built to protect Sri Dalada in the past are now in ruins, but you can still see this palace in Vijayasundararama, Dambadeniya.
It is said that with the construction of Dambadeniya by King Vijayabahu III, the construction of this Dalada Maliga started. It is also believed that this was done by his son King Parakramabahu II.
It is said that this palace of Dambadeniya had 3 floors in the past, but today we get to see only 2 floors. Today, the common people do not get a chance to enter the upper floor.
Here, the outer walls have layers of paintings belonging to each period. This clearly proves that it is ancient. In front of this palace, you can see a Sapubodhi which is not seen much. This is also considered to be a Bodhi unique to Dambadeniya.
Next to the palace, you can see a mandapaya with a shrine. This is shown as a place prepared for the common people to worship Dalada at that time. It is also considered a Heavisi Mandapaya.
