However when Dame said he told Irv to stay out of his business once he found out that Irv put together the Jay's Got ur self/super ugly freestyle the thing is that wasn't Dame's business it was Jay's business that he had with Nas.

Yet Irv just strap together the Got ur self a gun beat & the super ugly beat for Jay. The popular opinion is that Nas won the battle between him & Jay, yet those sentiments of Jay losing the battle didn't lose any money for Roc-A-Fella. Dame is just upset about Irv making comments on Drink Champs about what he think cause the split between him, Jay & Biggs.

@@user-bj2cv3ii9u incorrect. They were in the business of selling “music”. They literally make money selling music. The two are not separate. So, If Irv put the battery in jays back, to make a dis song (music), without Dames consent or knowledge, that’s literally interfering with Dames business. And, music is based on coolness and reputation. The moment an artist loses their cool factor, their music stops selling and they make no money. Example: vanilla ice and hammer both sold millions of records before the public perceived them as corny. Where are they now? Exactly. So, in the 1990’s era of gangster hiphop, taking a loss could’ve chipped away out the public perception of rocafella. Which, in a round about way, that loss was a part of its demise, and why Jay jumped ship and sabotaged the brand and threw Dame under the bus. Their visions were no longer in alignment. And both of them chasing Aaliyah didn’t help either. It’s all connected.

Dame went as far as he could go with what he knew and Jay was savvy enough to see the writing on the wall and he parted ways. And if you call losing lawsuit’s, multiple business failures, having your homes foreclosed, and being jailed for Child Support and running to another state to escape New York because you got so many cases successful than you can have at it. The only reason why this ninja drop’s knowledge or talks about Jays is because he’s not doing anything noteworthy. His movies are Doo doo 💩 and his clothes are wack.

Dame is brilliant but the fact he doesn’t remember how he left people feeling speak volumes. It’s a lesson. Unless someone fux you over treat everyone with love and kindness. You never know where they end up in 10/15 20 years. Dame was very short sighted when it came to relationships outside his immediate circle and that why he finds it difficult to maintain relationships. I love dame. He’s very edgy tho

There was Street close connected to hip hop the flag girl in fly Guy we're always fashion icons if they wore dapper Dan originals from back in the 70s and 80s or any other of the individuals throughout the country that would doing clothes that were specifically under a hip-hop genre then you have the b-boys and b-girls who were dressing you know for their dance and breaking competitions those crews dressed very Urban but there were no labels that specifically did that because even designers like Willie wear didn't have the Morro Bay nor hip-hop centered stylization yet

Dame's vision to fashion was criminally underrated in hip-hop. He wanted to be like the luxury fashion houses while they were pushing volume brands. In hindsight he was right lol. None of the "urban" brands that came out at that time are relevant today. None of them. Fear of God and Off-White seem to come from that model of thinking and have proved in a short amount of time that it is effective.
